First time on Norwegian. We were not impressed with the food. Although the crew were very friendly- we had to walk into the hall to request towels or face clothes as we were about to shower. The entertainment we felt was above average with a variety of shows, magician, contortionist, Russian circus experts and the dancers.
The cruise activities were plentiful and well organized. We enjoyed ...
We choose this cruise because it was coinciding with another trip we had planned. We had a good time we booked our own excursions and liked the Roatan Catamaran cruise as well as the Maya Chan Beach Resort day trip the best. the Al Tun Ha Ruins was beautiful but the service we chose had a vehicle that did not have any air conditioning; which made the 1 hour ride to and from the ruins kinda ...
Received a great deal for a two bedroom suite, third and fourth person free, specialty dining for all, adult beverage package, shore excursion credit. Suite came with a butler, who delivered canapés every afternoon. While the suite was roomy, with a separate entrance for the extra bedroom, there was not very much attention to detail with the housekeeping. Only of those magazine subscriptions ...
Hi everyone,
I decided to start with all the positives of the cruise, before going on with the fact that this was going to be my last cruise with NCL.
Embarkation was a breeze. Maybe 30 minutes from arriving at the port to being on the ship. The people checking us in were pleasant, efficient, and simply a pleasure dealing with.
Off to my cabin. I got a inside cabin on the 9th deck Mid. ...
First time with NCL. The room, (balcony) was much smaller than other ships we've been on. Nice shower, but lack of storage and counter/shelf space. The cabin steward must have been new, because we were always short of towels or washcloths.
Public areas on the ship were nice, but, cruising during Spring Break (my mistake) meant that the place was overrun with kids all the time. This was helped ...
I've only been on two cruises in my life, both with NCL. I was very excited for our cruise but I find that it's the ports that I like most. We loved our room steward, Emerson. He took good care of us and was very nice. However, we found that the guest services staff wasn't overly friendly. The evening entertainment was good but I find myself on days at sea a bit bored. Most of us are fine ...
This was our 16th cruise but our very first with NCL and we had heard good things. Most of our previous cruises were with Carnival and we had heard that NCL was a classier, more grown up cruise line. That combined with the drink package has us looking forward to a great cruise.
While we were given an embarkation time we still showed up at 10:45am and were on the Star by 11:30am - so the ...
Situation: A couple in mid-70s with mobility challenges. Complete freedom to choose cruises on any basis at any time. Chose NCL Star Western Caribbean cruise because we could get a large balcony suite with unlimited dining and drink packages, $200 onboard credit and with zero daily gratuity included at a very good price. We really like the butler service!
Stateroom: We like the design of ...
Just completed a seven day Western Caribbean cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines and feel the need to write a few words. There were some things that were enjoyable (the weather, the destinations, family time) and many that were less so (drunk passengers partying loudly until wee hours), that NCL cannot take the credit nor the blame. Well, maybe the unlimited drinks package had something to do with ...
We just got back today (Sunday March 20th 2016) The tendering (water taxi) system was a joke. We nearly missed our shore excursion because of Norwegians incompetence. Here's a tip... Don't ever book an excursion on a cruise ship unless the ship DOCKS at the port in which you book... I will never book one again if I have to be water taxied ashore. Norwegian doesn't give a hoot about you if you ...
