Epic scenery, fantastic staff, a lovely ship and just a brilliant time.

So, first time cruiser here so I have little point of reference. But, I had an absolutely brilliant time with my father on this voyage of a life time to the utterly amazing Patagonia and Antarctica (sorry if this is a bit long). Embarkation - so easy. It took around 45 mins to arriving at bag drop off to sitting by the pool with a beer in my hand. At all points there seemed to be forward ...

My husband and I spent Christmas in this amazing ship from Buenos Aires to the Antartica visiting the most beautiful places along the way. From the beginning till the end, it was an amazing experience. The staff was always respectful and resourceful giving their best to ensure their guests were taken care of. The music was unbelievable amazing as well. We are from the island of enchantment and ...

This was a return to cruising after a few years, and it certainly won't be as long before the next! Cruised on the Star from Tromso to Reykjavik, and loved it. Food: always subjective, but thoroughly enjoyed Versailles MDR and the options offered there. Actually ate there a lot more than anticipated, as the buffet was so rammed at breakfast in particular. The crowdedness of the buffet was ...

This was one of the most amazing cruises I have been on. The itinerary was amazing (Buenos – Antarctic), but I have had other amazing itineraries. The NCL Star was actually the “Star”. The ship will be renovated soon, but we thoroughly loved the nostalgic look. Everything was clean, spotless and shiny. The glass elevators allowed us to never feel enclosed. The atrium always had something going ...

Magnificent Scenery and Experiences

This cruise was scheduled and rescheduled several times due to Covid and, in the end, exceeded our expectations! We were so lucky with sunshine, smooth seas and abundant sea life and the crew capitalized on all of it. Cruise paths were modified to take us where the whales and other sea life were feeding and we enjoyed magnificent days exploring the Antarctic waters and seeing countless whales, ...

This was the perfect blend of South American ports and 2.5 days around the Antarctica Peninsula. The highlight of course was Antarctica and combined with on board lectures and slow cruising around Fin Whales and Penguins it was a wildlife enthusiasts Dean - plenty of photography opportunities as well. NCL were at there usual high standard of service, food and cleanliness. The speciality restaurant ...

NCL STAR Cruise Chile to Argentina – 1st Jan 2023 The below is a personal view of the above cruise and all comments are a view from the writer. Getting to the port. The departure of the above cruise was on the 1st Jan 2023 from San Antonio Chile. As such no public transport is available on a bank holiday, so booking private shuttles are the only way to get to the port say from Santiago. ...

Smaller ship, still a great time

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Star

11 day cruise with my family from Iceland, to Norway, to Scotland and finished in London. Fourth time sailing with Norwegian, first time on one of their smaller ships. As we had anticipated, it was very much in line with our other Norwegian cruises, just with smaller venues and less bells-and-whistles. The staff was phenomenal; always professional, friendly and helpful. We lost one of our ...

Wife and I and 3 siblings, all over 60, cruised to Scotland, Norway, and Iceland from Southampton England in July 2022. This was our 29th cruise and 7th on Norwegian. We choose our cruises on locations and this one took us to each one in comfortable surroundings. Specifics: BOARDING: Covid test required 3 days prior for Europe sailings. We tested at home in Florida on Thurs for a Sunday ...

The cruise had a wonderful itinerary. Norwegian offered excellent excursions. The passengers were interesting and came from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, and South America. We made many new friends. The cabin was immaculate as was the ship, and the staff was wonderful. We were scheduled to stay for the next cruise (booked back-to-back cruises) from Santiago to Cape Canaveral when all ...
