"Having cruised in the Med aboard Spirit a year ago we were sure we were on to a winner. We were on two back to back cruises departing June 8 and 18, but as far as we were concerned it was all one long cruise, sure..."Read More

1-10 of 119 Europe - Western Mediterranean Norwegian Spirit Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise Reviews
Find Below some observations:
• Embarkation procedure in Barcelona - made to wait for over 30 minutes in the cruise terminal hall after check-in.There was no general announcement as to why. In addition many had come directly from the airport and were tired, thirsty and hungry. There was no provision for refreshments made by NCL or the Port Authorities (the cafe had closed). NCL should have ...
This was our second cruise on the Spirit and we enjoyed ourselves just as much as the first. Excellent staff and delicious food in main dining rooms, we only had to wait to be seated once on our 10-day cruise. Didn’t bother paying extra for specialty restaurants since we were pleased with the menus offered in the main dining rooms. Love the “freestyle”, come anytime/sit anywhere dining ...
We chose this cruise because of the varied ports of call. It went to 5 different countries and 10 different cities. The staff were friendly. The ship was very well organized so that all our excursions left on time and we had very good guides.
We stayed overnight in Civitavecchia so that we wouldn't miss our embarkation, which went very smoothly. Since it was a very hot day, we appreciated ...
First of all, I find it interesting that my effort to get 7 people to attend this cruise was not acknowledged in any kind of way, but, some of the members in my party received champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries.
I arrived on the day of ship departure, in the morning so that I had enough time to get to the port which was an hour away. Because of worry about getting to ship on time, did ...
NCL could not have made this dream vacation run any smoother. From Embarkation day to disembarkation day we were treated as valued customers. The food was fresh & delicious. With menus ranging from kid friendly to formal dining there is certainly something for everyone. Even the pickiest of eaters. I suggest taking advantage of all the specials / freebies they have to offer as it lends to a more ...
Back to Back on the Spirit – Mediterranean – July, 2018
Recently returned from back to back cruises on the Spirit. We had a total of 7 adults on the first cruise (3 cabins) and then 6 on the second cruise (2 cabins). These were our 33rd & 34th cruise (about 18 on NCL, the rest on the other major cruise lines). Both cruises embarked from Rome (Civitavecchia); First cruise went west (Livorno ...
I embarked on this cruise as it had an excellent bucket-list itinerary and indeed, NCL picked one for the ages. This was my seventh cruise and of all of them it had the best ports of call. That being said, once I approached it on departure day, I could tell it had its issues with age and upkeep.
Stepping aboard in the lower corridors it became instantly apparent that this ship has a lot of ...
The Ports of call were good
The ship is very old and needs updating
The food on board was very poor cold and poor quality (could not cut the steak)
Service in the Garden Resturant was good
On all the cruises we have been on (14) the entertainment was terrible the theatre shows (3 were passible) the rest so bad
The resident Band were out of tune and could not sing
We are so ...
We loved our time on the Spirit! From the time we got on (which went so much faster than any previous cruise experience) we had nonstop fun. The main pool area was lovely, plenty of seating and always something in the shade, and it wasn't a cruise that the pool was always overrun by kids which made our child free vacation so much more relaxing. The freestyle dining meant we could always decide ...
