Itinerary stellar but the ship is in need of refurbishment...
"We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. The opportunity to go to the Baltic Sea and visit 13 countries in 15 days was extraordinary. Aside from the rather whirlwind aspect of this type of schedule, we still..."Read More

Embarkation went smoothly with exception of a change of schedule, the first port Amsterdam. Not a major deal because the substitute port was Le Havre, France, outside of Paris. Not, the ship was unable to dock and we were given a day at sea. Then, Iceland (two ports) was canceled and we were given two additional ports in Norway and one in Scotland because of Hurricane Lorenzo. This was ...

Bad Food, Sewage Issues, Missed 5 ports

This cruise was going to Amsterdam, Norway, Iceland and Ireland. Iceland was the important stop for us, but the others were exciting as well! This cruise definitely did not deliver. Hurricane Lorenzo caused weather issues. Instead of communicating those issues to us ahead of time, giving us time to reschedule or cancel planned shore excursions and tours, Norwegian waiting until the last minute ...

The cruise was supposed to go to Amsterdam, Norway, Iceland and Ireland. When we first boarded the ship they informed us the first port was canceled. We had no time or internet to cancel our excursion so we were out that money. The port they substituted was canceled as well we did stop in Norway than we were informed Iceland was canceled and two more Norway ports were substituted. The next day we ...

The cruise was chosen for the itinerary despite travel agents caution about NCL quality. The cruise did not visit several stops supposedly due to weather. Whereas three scheduled stops and two substitute locations (Amsterdam, Iceland, France, Scotland) were cancelled, NCL went to two additional Norway locales which had minimal facilities for tourism. They then claimed that they met their ...

Chosen cruise as a good way to see Scandinavia. Disappointed as extra days at sea and missed 3 ports and 2 alternative ports given in 14 days.Missed one of the highlights and draw cards, Iceland ! Extra sea day trapped with expensive internet and business to do! Poor, crowded, noisy inside lounge accomodation as weather was bad. Food was ok, shows were ok. Staff lovely and bad working conditions( ...

We chose this cruise for 4 ports, but only went to one. Amsterdam and 2 1/2 days in Iceland never happened, nor did 2 of the substitutions. We were told about the loss of Amsterdam less than 24 hours before we would have arrived. Because it was so late, we lost almost $500 in private tours we COULD have cancelled with more warning. Several other cruise lines cancelled days before, so Norwegian ...

A lot of changes but handled fairly well

We were on the Spirit for the Norway/Iceland/Ireland itinerary in late Sept/early Oct. 2019. Due to Hurricane Lorenzo moving up from the Gulf, there were several changes in our itinerary. It resulted in some people on the ship getting bent out of shape, and vocal demonstrations. When you stepped back to look at it, most of the changes were reasonable due to weather, but Norwegian could have ...

I have just disembarked from this Norwegian Spirit cruise that started in Southampton on 27th September and was supposed to call at Ijmuiden for Amsterdam then on to Bergen, Flam and Geiranger in Norway before heading off to Iceland to visit Akureyri and Reykjavik then on to Belfast and Dublin before returning to Southampton. Prior to departure from Southampton passengers were informed that due to ...

Looking forward to Amsterdam and Iceland. Booked >400 days before the sail date. We had 4 fabulous days in London before sailing. We planned private excursions at every port at great expense. Embarkation went smoothly since I'm a gold latitudes member. The ship had only 2018 passengers and was in need of upgrading. The cabin was small. Meals at the paid restaurants were excellent. Other than ...

My mum wanted to see the northern lights before she dies, so we booked this cruise fom Southampton (side note: my Grandad helped build this dock !) The embarkation from this port was so easy and smooth. I've been on the Spirit before so it was nice to show my mum around. The cabin was spacious, on deck 10, easy to get to everything and we were quite happy there. Due to the weather our ...
