The best way to cross the Atlantic

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

Embarcation was a breeze as we had elected to arrive close to the time we could board and were able to leave our carry on bags in our cabin, which was already prepared. Spirit is a relatively small and older ship so if you are looking for climbing walls and water slides you will be disappointed, we loved the promonade deck which was well used by walkers (4 laps=1.4 miles), the Atrium with its ...

Having just returned from a cruise on Norwegian Spirit, I have to say what a very pleasant surprise I had. I had read many reviews that had made me doubt my choice, mostly about the age and condition of the ship. I am happy to say, that although not as grand as some of the other ships I have cruised on, it was in very good condition, clean and comfortable with ample restaurants and activities. ...

Best Cruise to Date!

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We recently completed a seven night Caribbean cruise on the NCL Spirit. It was a wonderful trip! Leading up to the trip, we read negative reviews about the Spirit, but honestly our experience did not resemble the previous reviews. We have taken RCCL, Carnival, and Princess, as well as other NCL ships. This has been our best cruise to date! While the Spirit is the oldest and smallest in the fleet, ...

Happy to be back on the Norwegian Spirit again!

I had been on the Norwegian Spirit in May of 2015 in Europe for 15 days and liked the ship. Norwegian also offered an interior room without a single supplement on this cruise and since I traveled solo for the first time, this was an excellent offer. I enjoyed the entertainment each night especially the Elements show. The food variety at the buffets in Raffles Court was excellent. I had lost ...

Our Very 1st cruise and can honestly say we were so delighted we have already booked a further NCL cruise for later in the Year, from the time we arrived at port to the time we left the ship ( in tears ) we were treated like royalty. Food choice, restaurants and bars were fully staffed and service was impeccable. The Balcony cabin (9020) was kept to a very clean standard by our room steward (Joel ) ...

The Sweetest Cruise

Where do i start? What a great cruise. Some of the criticisms I have read are totally unjustified. Yes it is an older ship, but tired definitely not. We arrived on a warm spring day and parked at the car park by the terminal. Very convenient and easy. Checked in around 1130 with no queues. We had suite 9212 so we were directed to the VIP area for snacks. No time for these as Patrick our ...

We came in the day before to Orlando. We rented a car from Enterprise and got to drive around town before the cruise. Went to Fishlips for dinner and watched the ships head out Friday night. There is a rent a car location right between all of the piers so the shuttle does not take long. We had another couple along with us, so there and back with the rent a car was less than the big bus. There is a ...

Had a blast on the Spirit!

We were able to take the Spirit on her March 12th Eastern Caribbean itinerary. The Spirit was the smallest ship we'd ever cruised on, and it turns out we like the smaller ships just fine. She has an Asian decor that sets her personality apart. The kids (9 and 11) absolutely loved the Splash Academy and Buccaneers pool area. The Raffles Terrace, an open bar on the aft of the ship, was my ...

Pleasantly Surprised

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We had been on Carnival the last five cruises and had been a bit disappointed with the crew energy on the last one. It was the Fantasy, and we were aware about it's age. The Spirit is a similar ship, small and a few years on her, but the crew was outstanding. Yes if you look hard you can find old carpet or a rust spot or two, and we were concerned with all the negative reviews. The energy and ...

This was our 2nd cruise on NCL. The cruise ship & staff were excellent!! Had only one issue with a waiter in Windows restaurant for dinner one night, he was very insistent to rush us through dinner. We just slowed him down & that was the end of it, he got the message. Other than that one time, we have no complaints with any of the restaurants, buffets, bars, etc. Our steward Gede was wonderful, ...
