Our background: DH and I have cruised 4 times previously, once on NCL. I have limited mobility, so some of my comments reflect that situation. We didn't have an HC cabin, as I can get around short distances, just not long ones. We flew into Boston the day before embarkation and stayed at Embassy Suites, Logan Airport. Since all we wanted was a restaurant and a place to sleep, it was an excellent ...

We really enjoyed the NCL Spirit. She was easy to navigate; even had color coding of the carpet to help you figure out if you're aft, forward or mid ship. We had a balcony cabin on deck ten, just shy of mid-ship. Very comfortable and much roomier than I expected. Our cabin #10628 was fairly roomy for the 2 of us. The closet and storage area was quite adequate and our big suitcases fit under ...

Overall this cruise met our expectations. My wife and I are experienced cruisers. This was our eighth cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines and our fifteenth cruise in total. We live in the Boston area so we did not do any Boston sightseeing before the cruise and we didn't have to deal with airline connections. Our son drove us to the Boston cruise port and we began the embarkation process at about ...

This was our 8th cruise, first time with NCL. My husband and I are both in our early 50's. Our 26 year old daughter joined us. Our cruise was from New York City to Halifax Nova Scotia, St. John New Brunswick, Boston and Martha's Vineyard MA. We flew in from Nebraska to New York City one day early and stayed at the Marriott in Time Square..close to the pier. Took the NY city double ...

This was our 3rd cruise and our 1st with NCL. We arrived in New York 1 day early and stayed at the Embassy Suites. Nice hotel, about a 20 minute drive to the port (because of traffic). Registration at the port was a breeze. From the time our driver dropped us off, we were on the boat in twenty minutes. This is due in large part to the large number of agents working the counter. It also helps to ...

DW and I just returned from the Spirit Canada/ New England (10/14 - 10/20). We have been on the Spirit before, Aug 2006, so we knew the layout of the ship, which always helps. Embarkation. We arrived in NYC 9:30, and to the port around 10:30, the Bike Race made it hard to get to the port. We parked, gave the porter the luggage and was directed to the Latitude waiting area. We were in that area ...

We took the Spirit on the Sept. 16 sailing up the east coast from New York. My husband and I have been cruising for nearly 15 years and have traveled on NCL, Royal, Holland America, Princess, Costa and Celebrity. I choose this cruise because of the itinerary, dates and value. We have gone on at least 5 cruises with NCL in the past and enjoy the free style cruising, but know that some of the other ...

After getting much info on selecting my cruise from others I thought I would share my thoughts on the cruise I just returned from on the NCL Spirit. After having been on 13 other cruises, I was a bit concerned with going on NCL since in general I think that it does not have have as good a reputation as most or the other major lines but all in all it was an excellent experience. I sailed with a ...

Embarking was a breeze, quickest we've seen yet. Able to board about 1pm for 4 pm departure. We weren't real impressed with most of the food we had on board, most desserts bland and tasteless, dinners were okay, not what we had expected. Cruise director Julie was great, always friendly and upbeat. The entertainment was ok, horrible magician, though. We enjoyed the ports of Halifax, Bar Harbor, ...

I was part of a group of four people in two cabins who took a six-night cruise on the Norwegian Spirit in September 2007. Our itinerary included Canada and New England. Embarkation: We arrived at the terminal on the Hudson in New York City at 1:45 for our 4:00 departure. The line was long, but with forty agents processing arriving passengers, we were onboard in a painless twenty minutes. Ship: ...
