Broke away from the breakaway class ships and loved it.

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Our first NCL cruise was on spirit (amazing cruise) but all bigger ships since. Didn’t think we’d go back to a small older ship till we saw this itinerary. 13 Caribbean islands on a 14 day cruise, no sea days, leaving from Dominican Republic. Took a few days to adjust to the layout and know our way around. Bliss lounge took the place of the atrium and we loved it. Much more seating but ...

I chose this cruise because I was traveling solo. they had a great deal on booking a solo room. it was not expensive, and it's the least expensive solo Rate that I have seen to this date. I am hoping that other cruise lines would follow suit and offer the same Without the huge price tag to make up for a second In a room. I never got bored on the ship. there were lots of entertainment activities to ...

Don't hate on the smaller ships

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Sky

The Sky is a very "classic" cruise experience. The staff was excellent for our 9 day cruise. This ship has had a well-done face lift and should not be thought of as old. The only thing that may have seemed small was the buffet compared to those on much larger ships like the NCL Joy. I would love to take a cruise on the sister ship the Sun or Pearl after going on the Sky. The choice of ...

After more than 30 years of cruising on all the major cruise lines, I now think that Norwegian Cruise Lines has become the best value in the industry, especially for those who prefer to cruise solo.  While legacy cruise lines seem hostile to singles (usually charging solos 200%, but couples get a discount on the second passenger), NCL is the opposite and offers solo cruisers regular cabins with no ...

Lovely experience when you manage expectations

Was surprised at all the poor reviews of this ship. We had a wonderful experience. Middle aged couple with 40+ cruises, Platinum Status on NCL. We love the older ships because they look and feel like actual ships and we tend to avoid the new and glitzy 'floating hotels'. No shade, just a preference. The ship is 23 years old and clearly a 'training ship'. A lot of staff stated it was their ...

Great Cruise

Having read so many reviews prior to our cruise I was honestly not looking forward to going at all but am so glad we did. The ship is older and smaller, the cabins are smaller but none of that impacted the overall vacation. The service was excellent, every member of staff we came into contact with was delightful. Everyone was helpful and smiling and we couldn't have been more pleased. The ...

If money permits, definitely book a suite---an amazing experience!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Our family of five adults booked a suite for our cruise. We picked this for its itinerary---6 ports of call. Yes, all 5 of us in one suite. We had more than enough room for all, and the extra 1/2 bathroom was a godsend. There is plenty of closets and drawer space, and even when the beds were pulled out in the living room for the night, we still had more than enough room. The oversized balcony ...

Our experience was a very positive one with fantastic staff and great food. Best weather ever and we already booked an NCL cruise for next year and put deposits down for the next 4 years as well. Just some thoughts for others to consider from our experience. Overall this cruise was great, and we had a blast. There were some things that could have been better. We picked this cruise because of ...

Outstanding experience

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Sky

We were a group of 8 initially and just before the cruise 4 friends of one of our group decided to go on the cruise as well. Six of us chose to stay in the suites in the front of the ship as we wanted a perfect view when entering and traveling through the Panama Canal. That view did not disappoint! As others have written those suites can be very windy and when at sea they were. But we wouldn’t ...

We Really Enjoyed This Ship

The crew and officers were great - professional, polite, seemingly happy. Room service was prompty and well-done. The buffet food for breakfast and lunch was good, with some really nicely prepared dishes. We ate dinner only at the complimentary dining rooms and I felt they offered great options, and the food was delicious. Service was outstanding all the way around. The ship was in very ...
