Norwegian Jade Cruise September 2016

We chose the Norwegian cruise line because of the relaxed dress code and the freestyle dinning. We had the premium drinks package as part of our deal and I can truly say its the best all inclusive drinks deal I have ever had. The food was excellent, we purchased a dinning package for 3 meals before we sailed and the quality of the food in the Brazilian the French restaurant Le Bistro and Cagneys ...

I'd like to state firstly this was our first cruise so we have no measuring stick against other operators. So I'm coming at this with no expectations. Cabin - We had a balcony on deck 10 (532) fwd of midships and we felt no movement and there was no real noise to speak of.. The cabin itself was spacious enough with plenty of storage for our 7 day cruise. Staff - All staff across all areas ...

Dreadful Cabin

Never again. Every night in cabin 8051 the most awful noise started-it was as if there was a laundry next door. There was a loud jingling and rattling noise. We were offered alternative cabins both of which on inspection were much smaller and had a fold down single bed in the wall around which you had to negotiate to reach the double bed. Then we were given earplugs. Eventually we opted to use ...

Nice trip, friendly crew. Cruise-line too focused on your money

The good: The places (Croatia and Greece) are amazing! 80% of the time the cruise staff was extremely friendly The ship is OK The food has very good quality (but if you are a foodie don't expect anything fancy) The bad: You can feel that the cruiseline is trying to take money from you every single momment. First, they add a 15 usd daily charge per person, then they charge 18% ...

Second time with Norwegian, and the last!

I booked this on the back of a cruise we did in February on the Norwegian Sky... which was quite good. Disappointed this time with the jade... Holes in the sheets on our bed, and not changed in 7 days! constantly served drinks where the glass was half full, or they filled one glass and half filled the other as they couldn't be bothered to open another bottle... One day in port we had ...

Fantastic 50th Birthday Cruise

Review for Norwegian Jade to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Six of us joined the Jade to celebrate our 50th birthdays. We flew to Venice from Glasgow, and we were picked up and taken to the ship. The embarkation process took ages with lots of queuing and then eventually we got on board - our suitcases would take a while to arrive. Since we had 3 hours to spare we decided to head into Venice - this was easy: we took the monorail to the vaporetto station ...

Not a Good Experience

The entertainment and lack of was appalling. Some shows were repeated and several of the show were not worth the time to attend. The lack of activities proved out to create a very boring week and could not wait for it to be over. The staff on the ship appeared to be very unhappy for the most part. This was our 4th NCL cruise and we have another paid for coming up in August. If I could get my ...

Norwegian Cruise Lines Barcelona to Venice

This cruise was half the price of other cruise lines sailing basically the same route on a 20 to 22 day itinerary. We also wanted to see Florence & Rome so we visited those cities ourselves after the cruise. The Shore Excursions although expensive were very well organized and unlike other cruises we've been on, they didn't turn anybody away. Meaning if 45 people show up, one bus runs. If ...

This was my wife and my first cruise and we are both 66 years old. Booked through a travel agent with a balcony stateroom. We have nothing to compare with so not sure how this compares with other cruises. The cruise was great! The ship was great! the staff was great! For a first cruise we were overall very happy. The things I didn't like are the following: We booked early and got 1 free ...

A Fantastic First Time Cruise!

We went on our first cruise for my 40th birthday and researched various cruise companies. We opted for NCL as they seemed to offer the flexibility we were looking for. We checked in at the Port of Venice and this was a very straight forward process, with friendly staff. Our luggage was booked in for us and would be delivered to our cabin later on, leaving us free to explore and relax once ...
