We sailed the Jade 3 yrs ago and it was the BEST CRUISE EVER. We were looking forward to the ship, the itinerary (We had never done a Fall Color trip), the ports, everything. We did not get an invite to the frequent cruisers cocktail party. There was only one "formal" night on a 10 dsy cruise. The shop did not have weather appropriate garments for purchase. The bars were closed more often than ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and price. We mostly enjoyed but due to the demographics there were major problems with specialty dining reservations and waiting time in other restaurants. We had the reservations we chose, but for 10 days we herd constant complaints from fellow passengers. this detracted form our enjoyment. The staff tried limit this but it was hard. I ordered fresh ...

We chose the cruise because it sailed out of Manhattan and to Quebec City, round trip. Highlights were Quebec City and the last day excursion around NYC en route to the airport. Quebec City is an amazing port. We also liked the hop on, hop off bus in Halifax. The people whom we met at dinner were lovely-friendly and interesting. We like free style dining with a reservation and chose ...

The ship is very nice, but there is not a lot to do onboard if you don't like trivia games or bingo. The sea days got boring. There were not many seminars nor enrichment programs. The ones they did have were given by crew members that were very nice, but hard to understand. All that was on T.V. were soccer games. Not a lot of variety there, if you wanted some down time in ...

Cabin okay; food disappointing; group exercise disappointing (extra charges)

Wanted to see fall foiiage. Not disappointed. Especially pretty with a lot of color around Quebec City and Halifax, some in Sydney, hardly any in Charlottetown. Not enough time on tours to do any shopping. Really disappointed gift shops didn't carry any Quebec City t-shirts or caps. Extremely disappointed in buffet food - practically same thing every night with night enough variety. ...

I picked this cruise because it was out of NYC and I liked the ports. It was a time of year for great foliage. There were very few children or families on this cruise. Because the age group was older, this ship had problems with Freestyle dining, as everyone wanted to eat at the same time. We had reservations that were made in advance and did not have that problem. There were many angry ...

Disappointed!

The food was the worst on any crusie we have ever taken, i.e. Eggs Benedict in Main dining room were hard bolied with no canadian bacon on bread and very little hollandase, plus ti took an hour to be served. Pancakes in the Garden cafe were stone cold, and the scrambled eggs looked like soup. The French Onion soup was slightly colored water with cheese you could not cut or bite, just awful. Now ...

price was good. I had never been to Quebec and was excited to go there. The Ship is beautiful and just the right size for me. The cabin was the smallest i have ever had. There was not even a chair to sit on. The dining room service was very slow. We could not count on any meal taking less than 1 and 1/2 hours. Clearly not enough staff to deal with the number of people. The servers were working ...

Chose this cruise to visit Quebec and see the fall foliage. They had to cut the time down in each port because we could not sail faster than 10 knots in the St Lawrence due to Whale migration. This was our 6th cruise with NCL and our last. 27 cruises total on all different lines. So I have some experience, and this was one the cheapest quality cruises we have ever been on. I have never complained ...

Chose for the itinerary. Disappointed on the compression of the times spent in each port. Problem with the gangway in one of the ports also cut down the time in that port. The menu in the main dining room was underwhelming. The specialty restaurants were excellent. The time it took in the restaurants was a little long, but we were in no hurry so didn't bother us. The embarkation line was the ...
