"Sailed out of Barcelona for 12 nights. This is my sixth or seventh time on the Jade but never submitted a review before. Having found other reviews of great use when planning a trip I finally thought I should try..."Read More

1-10 of 279 Europe Norwegian Jade Europe Cruise Reviews
My wife and I are, generally speaking, destination-driven.
This itinerary really appealed to us because we had not been to the Holy Land, nor to the Middle East. The stops were interesting and historical.
NCL, IMO, continues to nickle and dime us for every possible sale. At some point, you half-expected someone to get in the elevator with you to sell you something: excursions, spa ...
We chose this cruise because it fit to our availability and because we liked the extraordinary itinerary with lots of highlights.
We knew this ship from a previous cruise. The ship is huge but not as huge as other ships. Entertainment is perfect and above the average. Free dining options are very good, especially in the a-la-carte Grand Pacific restaurant. Special dietary needs are perfectly ...
After spending four very busy days in Rome, we embarked on the NCL Jade for a two week cruise of the area.
Embarkation was the smoothest I've ever seen in my cruising history. Maybe it was because I'm use to going on the larger ships, but we waited in line maybe 2 minutes before getting our stateroom cards and other information.
We were in cabin 10624, which had a strange smell coming ...
Having transferred almost directly from Norwegian Epic to Norwegian Jade the contrast could not have been more amazing. The Jade crew were all happy, friendly and engaging and certainly made a monumental difference to the voyage. Jade was obviously a much happier and well run ship. Some maintenance issues with the cabin including toilet not flushing and faulty temperature control of shower. ...
This was our second NCl mediterranean cruise in as many years, previously on the Spirit in 2017. The ship is very much like the Spirit, slightly bigger, nicer cabins, more formal ( no quick bite/drink location). Boarding was quick and easy, though the boarding location really needs improving, it was raining and people were getting wet and having to walk though puddles to board. Our cabin 5094 was ...
We initially chose this cruise because of the itinerary although we were not sure about the Norwegian Jade as the reviews were very mixed. However, we did enjoy the smaller ship (approx. 2,400 passengers) and it was easy to get around the ship. Embarkation was surprisingly smooth and felt we were onboard and having lunch within minutes. We decided to avoid the busy buffet and went to O'Sheehan's ...
We had an aft balcony cabin 8134
It was a typical cabin at the VERY back of the ship.
Shower was a nice size - balcony was not as big as I would like but it fit 2 chairs/table and a lounge.
Enough storage space for us
suit cases under the bed
our cabin stuart - not the best .. but .. after tipping .. he got better !!!! HAHA always wanted ice in the bucket for evenings and he did ...
Our cruise departed from Civitavecchia (Rome). We stayed in Rome for 3 nights / 2 days prior to the cruise, and it worked out great - gave us time to get acclimatized and get over the jetlag. Plus being in Rome is always a great treat! We stayed in an Airbnb apartment in Trastevere and it was a great location for us, as it was easy to get there from Fiumicino airport [using public transportation] ...
This was our first cruise and overall it was a great experience. Perfectly suited for this itinerary where you get a snapshot of each port. Weather was fabulous this time of year...hot and sunny every day. Ports were all quite congested, especially Santorini since there were at least 4 other ships in port that day. We did not purchase a dining package, so therefore only ate in the restaurants that ...
21 July- We catch the 11.12 train from Rome to civitavechia (€4.60 each). We arrive an hour later and pay another 2€ to get the bus right to the ship, rather than push the bags along 2km of cobblestones. We board the Norwegian jade within 10 minutes and are soon having lunch on board with a glass of Chardonnay. We do the lifeboat drill at 4 and are sailing away by 5pm. We see the opening show ...
