AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

Jade or Jaded? A loyal cruisers perspective on Greek Isles (In-Depth Review)

Great cruise

Just got back from back-to-back cruises on the Jade. For the life of me, I cannot understand the negative reviews some people write, complaining about the staff, the food, the entertainment, etc. I am guessing these are people you could not please no matter what you did. I am a Sapphire level cruise with NCL. I really enjoyed my time on the Jade. The food was excellent, both in the specialty ...

This was a seven night cruise departing Athens, Greece. We upgraded to a category SF suite which includes a butler and concierge service. The stateroom Steward was exceptional. Friendly, attentive and if we requested something, he fulfilled our request. Our butler was good. Always provided afternoon snacks and even fulfilled a request he should not have. However I did not see the real ...

Here is a synopsis of our cruise... 1- New England clam chowder was VERY liquid. Chef never had it before in the US or he would have been embarrassed. 2- No offer of port wine, though I am drinking a bottle of wine. The waiter didn’t know his customers. 3- Shorts allowed at Alizar for dinner? Why did we spend money on new clothes? 4- Just way too loud and out of control… it was like ...

We returned yesterday from this cruise on which we experienced both positive and negative issues. Positives - amazing crew, always smiling and helpful, and working so hard. Given demands and capacity, service and the food was great - varied and fresh in Garden Café, main dining rooms and especially good in Le Bistro. Cabin was kept very clean and shower room bigger than on some competing ...

The ship was great, the passengers were not!

A group of six of us traveled to Athens for a 7 day cruise to Israel, Cyprus, Turkey other ports in Greece, and found the Norwegian Jade to be in terrific shape. It clearly showed that great care had been taken in retrofitting in 2022, and it was a nice change from other ships we have been on in years past. Four passengers in our group stayed in one of the penthouse suites, and I cannot ...

This is the second cruise we’ve been on with NCL. (The first was on the Pearl.) We’ve been wanting to go to Greece for a while now. Our travel agent told us a cruise would be the best way to see a variety of the islands. First of all their website is slow and horrible. When you purchase anything it takes a while to show up on your account. Don’t bother uploading your photo. We tried several times ...

We are repeat Sixthman cruisers and on this cruise the music did not disappoint, but Norwegian cruise line certainly did! The buffet food would be horrible in a public school cafeteria let alone a cruise ship. It was only a 5 day cruise but there were so many repeated menu items! The specialty dinners were just OK. In the Brazilian restaurant, we were served spoiled filet minon...it smelled ...

Nice ports, but not a restful cruise

We chose this cruise due to the itinerary featuring ports in Israel, Turkey and Greece. We had sailed on the Norwegian Jade before and had enjoyed our previous experience. Airport Transfer We paid for the transit from the airport, due to the fact that we did not have a lot of time between the arrival of our flight and the sailing. The coach bus experience was fine, although the check in ...

The itinerary was the best thing about this cruise

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and because we had sailed with NCL before. We left Athens and went to Rhodes, Cyprus, Santorini, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Jerusalem, Haifa(Galilee), Pathos, Mykonos, and then back to Athens. We spent 4 days in Athens before the cruise. It was blistering Texas hot while in Athens and on the cruise. We toured Athens, 105 degrees when we went up to the ...

Amazing Ports of Call & A Good Value

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. This was my first NCL cruise (I usually prefer Princess.). I traveled solo and appreciated NCL efforts to gather solo travelers. Many of us did end up eating meals or attending entertainment together. I picked this cruise because of the 11 day trip with Ports of call including Greek Islands, Israel, Istanbul & Ephesus Turkey. I booked through Vacations to Go ...
