"Then getting on line again for the boat tender back to the ship.I ended up just walking onto the first NCL tender because to be honest at this stop nobody was checking tender numbers and the line was short for us once there so we took the lift...."Read More

1-10 of 23 Norwegian Getaway Cruise Reviews for Family to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean
We chose this cruise for the ports of call. To begin, they cancelled our overnight in Istanbul before departing. The time in the ports were cut short because the cruise excursions never left on time. There was always and hour or two hour delay to get off the ship due to the unorganized shore excursion personnel. It was a joke.
So instead of adding time to our excursions we were just short ...
Well, I believed Norweigen is a reputable cruise line, but not this time. I knew the crew did their best. They were polite. Hard working and offered free entertainment. Service Dept was always short staff. Ogot my specialty dinner back. Food was okay but housekeeping can be better as we had to pay $20. per day mandatory. Sometimes it was done before dinner time.
What upset me most the ...
We have just disembarked from the Norwegian Getaway after our cruise from Venice to Athens. It was my husband and I sailing and our 2 and 5 year old daughters.
We started off the holiday with a wonderful few days in Venice and then on the final day we caught the train from Trieste down to Venice with many other NCL passengers. When we arrived we very quickly realised that there were very few ...
We chose this cruise because of the variety of locations that the ship was going to be visiting. We booked our holiday, but with days to go, the itinerary changed.... drastically. Almost every day the time in port was shortened by 2 hrs or more. This left us with no chance to spend any quality time in port.
They cancelled our stop in mykanos altogether because of choppy waves, yet 2 other ...
I want to bring to your attention the disappointing experience my family and I encountered during our recent NCL Getaway cruise departing on July 12, 2023. Despite having high expectations based on the itinerary, our journey was marred by missed ports, shortened port stays, and subpar customer service. I feel compelled to share these grievances in order to shed light on NCL's ...
My cruise vacation began with several last minute changes by NCL with little recourse. First NCL cancelled a port of call and replaced it with a sea day. Secondly, the cruise went from one tender port to three. All of these changes made 3 weeks or so before departure, when as an NCL guest you can’t cancel and being so close to the sail date changing tours was out of the question as most all had ...
We cruise NCL and love the Haven area. The only thing we don't like about NCL is that there are NO reviews posted anywhere about anything. You cannot find any excursion reviews so we won't do their excursions again. Not worth the excursion credit they give you. We will do Viator or similar.
The Haven staff are awesome!!! Alex, Francis, Darius, Arthur are all fantastic ‼️ The live bands are ...
My family and I recently embarked on a vacation aboard the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship, and while there were some positive aspects to our journey, there were also a number of disappointments that hindered our overall experience. We are experienced cruisers having, cruised at least 15 times. Here is an honest review based on our observations:
Accommodations:
As a family of seven (4+3), we ...
We did this cruise for there were lots of places to visit we did not know yet, Naples, Palermo and Syracuse on Sicily, Corfu, and Dubrovnik, Split en Rijeka in Croatia. We only had one sea day, so that was nice. The Getaway is a big ship so on the day at sea breakfast time was very crowded. We had a balcony cabin 8738 and the balcony was large, we had two chairs and a small table and two sunbeds! ...
I chose this itinerary from Athens to Rome because there were so many cancellations in 2021 due to COVID, but I had an inkling that this might be a "go" because Greece was one of the first countries in Europe to open to tourists due to its dependency on the tourism industry.
Although we did not get to go to some of the ports that were originally planned, including Israel, I had no real ...
