Wondering how I will be happy on any other cruise line.
"We arrived at the port around 11:00am with our two sons ages 12 and 15, we dropped off our luggage and were then directed to bldg C for parking, which is a very quick and easy walk to board the ship. There was..."Read More

Please keep in mind this review is rather dated and some events, destinations etc. may no longer be offered. We decided to take this cruise as a number of our friends were going on it to help celebrate a mile-stone birthday. Pre-cruise We love going out of Miami and each time have stayed at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel. We get a bay view so we can see all the cruise ships lined up ...

Here's the good: The ship was great, I liked the layout, lots to do. We did our own excursions on land, but we liked all the ports; especially the variety - all 4 days were different. NCL's private caye was better than expected; just go knowing it will be a relaxing easy going day, and you will enjoy your time there. The margharita at the land shark rank one of the best I've ever had. ...

We were fortunate enough to jump on a fantastic offer after Black Friday/ cyber Monday that included unlimited drink package, kids free, 3 specialty dining, free WiFi, and shore excursion credits. With a group of 25 of us we jumped all over this offer. Let me begin with the positives. The on boarding of the ship was very smooth and fast. The Getaway is one of the newest ships in the ...

This was a family cruise of 5 people including 2 grandkids, 3 and 7 years old. We chose this itinerary because of the number of sea days and specifically the ports of St. Thomas and Tortola. Would've rather gone to the private island as the 3rd port, but alas Nassau is what it is. Overall it was a good cruise, boarding was without issue, had a nice lunch in one of the MDRs seated by a big ...

First Time Cruiser

First cruise ever - very exited and expectations were met. Although additional expenses climbed onboard (add-on prices for speciality restaurants, some bars, some wines and games) the trips was very nice and the staff very friendly and service minded (from cabin staff to director). One of the directors even spotted my partners limp from a twist of the foot and within 10 min, an ice-bag was ...

Positives: Small upgrades make this ship special. Some windows slide open in the dining areas while in port....The room we had featured excellent storage...some of the restaurants featured outdoor cafe style seating. We really enjoyed the bathroom in our room - NO complaints about size of shower or function of parts. The gym features large oversized rain shower heads if you really want to treat ...

The cabin was nice. It was what you expect of an internal room, my kids thought it was cool that the beds dropped down from the ceiling when sleeping more than 2 people in the cabin. They loved sleeping in the little bunk. For us, the low overhead space and ladder in the small space was a bit annoying. But luckily we don’t spend very much time in the cabins. My low score for the onboard ...

I wish we could rate them with 4+1/2 stars ! We choose this cruise because of the sailing dates, ports of call and a promotional offer for alcohol package :-) It was the first cruise for my husband (I've cruised twice before). We both agreed that our cruise was at the least very enjoyable and satisfying. We would have rated it 5 star however, the pools and hot tubs were always over crowded. ...

We have travelled w Norwegian in the past and had good experience With them. One of us have mobility problems and made arrangements for assisted boarding. We waited for nearly 2 hours to the assisted onto that shipped with a wheelchair. Though this is not directly the fault of the cruise this experience in the port was extremely stressful and unfortunately I have no idea how to prevent this. ...

I will begin by saying I very much enjoyed this cruise. The ship was beautiful and very clean. The staff was fun and entertaining. I traveled with my niece who was in her 20s. It was the first cruise boat for her and she was very impressed. I had read the cruise critic prior to going to make the most of my experience. We booked a lovely SPA Balcony room and it was well worth it. The extra ...
