The Great Outdoors. Has a nice size bar and buffet. Best of all, it's own soft-serve ice machine.

NCL TOOK MY MONEY AND RAN

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Gem

I chose this cruise because it departed close to home and is an easy drive to the port . Once at the port and rounded like cattle and every one boarded . As the day went on I figure i would take a shower . The drain in my mini suit backed up and flooded my bathroom with all kinds of waste coming up from the floor drain . it took almost four hours for the plumber to even get there to look at it. ...

Cabins not updated and small....guest services would not deal with a drunk neighbor we had next to us that screamed at nite....I was forced to buy alcohol package even though I can’t drink due to heart medicine.....Royal Caribbean always accepted a dr’s note....and did not force purchase of alcohol package...Very difficult to find a seat at breakfast...Staff was not helpful with seating ...

Never again will I travel with Norwegian Cruise Line

We chose this cruise to see the Fall colours in Canada. This was our first cruise with NCL and we had no reason to be biased. We travelled with 3 other couple, one of whom had traveled on a NCL ship before and told us they enjoyed the cruise around the Hawaiian Islands and the food was good. Our experience was just the opposite. It began well but my wife ate some food, probably a salad on the ...

Horrible Experience

The ship was very compartmentalized. No large open area atrium to enjoy. The food was absolutely horrible. We have traveled NCL and other cruise lines in the past and have never experienced such a bad experience related to the food. Buffet was the same things every day with little variety. The main complimentary dining rooms were bland and like warm. By the time we realized the food issue, the ...

STAY AWAY FROM NORWEGIAN CRUISELINE

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Gem

I have been on 5 cruises previously with 4 different cruiselines (including Disney, Princess, and Royal Carribean). My experience on Norwegian Gem was by far the worst. 1. The stateroom is poorly designed, with no outlets near the head of the bed. Family members with CPAP machines had to run extension cords across the entire room to be able to use their medical device. 2. Stateroom did not ...

We sailed on the Jewel to Alaska in July and were disappointed in the ship and food, but gave NCL one more try. We were so excited about the ports for the Northeast Canada sailing, but we missed two ports - and didn't have to miss them! The food was below average, the service was below average and there was nothing to do on the ship. We've taken 25 cruises and this was our 7th with NCL. The ...

What can i say more than a horrible vacation? The boat was overbooked..too many people everywhere..not one place next to the pool to reserve a chair, noisy boat with under age kids drinking and screaming..we had hate notes left on our door several times..gum on our door handle and the security officer told us that it wasnt their priority to see who might have done that and that camera footage was ...

We went on the Dawn last Summer and everything about it was perfect so we decided to do it again. Booked the Gem because we like to leave out of Boston. We booked 11 months in advance and decided to do a mini suite . We stayed in one last year and loved the extra room! Not the case on the Gem! We only saw our room steward in hall 3 times. Customer service rep Manuela de Olivera was ...

We have cruised on Norwegian before and liked the idea of going out of Boston and not dealing with flights. My husband and I, my son, wife and 2 granddaughters, my daughter and her husband went on the cruise. Getting onboard and off went very smoothly. comfortable rooms, great meals, great entertainment and lots for my granddaughters to do. They especially loved the Splash Academy on board!!! They ...

Worst cruise - not worth the money

This is my 5th cruise with Norwegian. We usually take the cruises out of Miami which the ships are a lot bigger and offer more things to do.but decided to go out of Boston because it was an hour away drive.Although it cost twice as much to go on this cruise compared to cruises in Miami where there bigger and newer. If this is your first cruise i guess you would enjoy it but being my 5th cruise the ...
