The Haven is Heaven

My wife and I booked the mini-suite on the 14 day western Caribbean cruise on the Escape. We were upgraded to the Haven forward-facing penthouse by bidding. The room was spectacular. This room entitled us to use the Haven courtyard, pool, bar and restaurant. First I have to acknowledge the Haven staff that made our vacation great. The two concierge, David and Nimfa, were always there for us ...

We take NCL cruises out of NY for the convenience of not flying to the port. Escape felt bigger and even more crowded than Breakaway of the previous year. The ship looked very clean, and the crew, I think, did their very best. Embarkation and disembarkation- surprisingly organized and relatively quick. We had midship mini-suit - it's a little bigger than regular balcony, and the shower with ...

We have always taken the Southern Caribbean and decided to go on a Western one. The ports were great, shopping in new ports like Mexico were great. We will do it again. The cabin was always kept clean, the specilty dining is always great. We saw some very good shows. It was fun setting up a reservation on your TV in the room. We were on the same ship (Escape) about 6 months ago and did not enjoy ...

Not the best cruise; not the worse

We sailed on NCL Escape for 14 nights beginning November 25, 2018. I'll start by saying we aren't a fan of these bigger ships. I don't like that there isn't a promenade deck to walk all the way around. The "jogging" track is a joke (very short: 8 laps for a km) and isn't even open for the most part during the day. With the casino in the middle of the ship in an area open one floor above ...

Very Nice All Around

Obviously weather was cold in Nov-Dec. But once you get to the Caribbean it was beautiful. Because of weather we couldn't stop at Stirrups Cay so I have no review of that. The Ports were all nice and we had good weather for a change, so it was nice. The ship was big, but because the way it was laid out it didn't seem too big. the most congested places were the buffet and the atrium, ...

Just OK

Just OK. Strange timing of events. Latitudes get together 6 PM in middle of dinner hour. Change of booked shows without notification and then they rescheduled the cancelled ones and didn't inform us of cancellation or that they booked another one for us at a time and date we had something else scheduled. Found out by accident looking at our calendar. No water for a day and never notified about ...

14 day cruise

We wanted to get away before the holidays. The embarkation in New York was very quick and easy. The disembarkation was one of the best we hace experianced in a long time. The cruise line is getting better with this process. Our first stop in Florida was delayed by 3 hours due to injuries suffered by crew members, of course this was unavoidable. But because of the late hour of arrival (4:30 PM) ...

Worst vacation ever

The main pool area was mostly adult only with loud vulgur music playing . They had “adult only” games at the main pool such as searching for condoms and simulating sexual acts. I have little kids that wanted to play at the pool and weren’t allowed. But then had to hear and be exposed to this adult inky stuff as it was taking place in the mIn deck. Food was horrible, some of the staff was ...

Another Excellent Experience on NCL!!!

When we decided to choose this cruise out of New York, we were a bit hesitant due to the size of the ship and location that we might feel overcrowded or find it difficult to navigate around the ship. The embarkation process was a breeze, perhaps made a little easier because we are platinum members, but the process was very organized and staff were very friendly and polite. The port was easy to ...

This was our fifth NCL cruise and first time on a big ship. Out last 14-day was on The Dawn, and that was a little small to keep us entertained. The Escape was so much different! From the moment we got on board to the day we left, there was so much to keep us busy! Here are some highlights: FOOD: The staff is Savor were some of my favorite on the entire ship. They always knew our names and ...
