Never Again!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

First off, the ship was way too crowded. You can't walk out of the stateroom without having to push people away. The main pool was literally more human than the actual water in the pool. The slides and ropes coarse were closed the whole time for some reason, and we were charged random daily fees that we didn't know about ($80 a day). Worst of all, we didn't even go to our last location because of ...

Flight Cancelled With No Refund from NCL

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Escape

The budget cutting on NCL shows for passengers who have cruised NCL before. For example, there are no hash browns at breakfast and they are not available by request, even in the sit down restaraunts. The entertainment (Choir of Man) is fine and in line with other companies, but it is not the exceptional entertainment that NCL used to be known for. The food in the main dining rooms has been pared ...

Dissapointing Cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We chose this cruise because we were able to make it work for all six of us in our group. The entertainment offerings were sorely lacking. The only show that we enjoyed was The Choir of Man, and that show was only available a couple evenings. We ate in the dining room “Savor” three times, at “Teppanyaki” once, “Moderno” twice and “The supper Club” once. The food was good everywhere except at ...

My family and I have always loved cruising with NCL. We have referred them to multiple people and always chose them over the others. However this sailing will be our last . It's our first cruise since COVID-19, and what a disappointment! Food has gone downhill; good steak or lobster? That's extra now! Wife made reservations months ago for the Savor since we are traveling as a small group of 13, ...

First time cruiser, the good, the bad, the ugly and the horrible.

Background: our first cruise. Family of 6. 2 separate rooms on deck 10. One balcony room and one interior cabin. Our package came with $50 excursion credit per excursion and 150 min internet package. Pre paid the service fees on line and my husband added the soda package and upgraded internet to him only. The GOOD: food was great and easily accessible. Rooms were clean and felt like a good ...

Having to Work Would've Been Better Than This!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Escape

We took our first ever cruise the week of 12/16-12/23/2023 on the Norwegian Escape. This was a terrible first cruising experience. So much so that by the end of the week, my husband had a timer on his phone counting down the minutes til we could leave! We should've not spent eight days and over $5,000 to come home more stressed and miserable than we were before we left. I venture to say that I ...

Been on Many NCL Cruises, 1st time on Escape - Was Terrible

Room was so disgustingly dirty I fell ill and got huves and a cold sore. Wings in o’Sheehans were wet with few, wet skin. Got food poisoning the 2nd last night. As a solo traveller in a room and not the solo studios, the solo travel group meet-ups were in a locked area of the solo studios so, if you were in a room, suite, etc you could not get in to attend. As a solo traveller I was placed at ...

We went on this cruise to celebrate my husband's birthday. My son is 15 and my daughter is 13. We thought this was going to be the cruise of a lifetime. Boy were we wrong! There was nothing for them to do besides the Waterpark which was closed half the time because it rained 3 out of the seven days on the cruise. We spent around $500 between the arcade and bingo just to keep them entertained. The ...

Disappointment

Had high hopes for NCL, but I was really underwhelmed. The food was not very good, with the exception being the buffet lunch in the Garden Cafe. Breakfast there was fair. Service was just okay. Egg dishes and bread and rolls were dry and flavorless. Fruit was very good. The food area was clean and well maintained. Lunch offered a lot of very tasty dishes as well as healthy options. Dinner ...

Worst cruise line

We have taken about 12 cruises through Disney Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean and this was our first cruise with NCL. While there are several things that were good about this cruise, the overall customer support that NCL provides their customers was by far the worst and ruined every good thing. The entertainment on the Escape was very good overall. Choir of Man is amazing. They had a cover band on ...
