This was our first time cruising with NCL. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly from the ship. The terminal was another story. The ship was big, beautiful and clean. All of the staff (except one) we encountered throughout the entire week were excellent. They we courteous, friendly and accommodating. We got a mini family suite and the room was a decent size for 4 of us. The USB ports were ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to go to Bar Harbor Maine. We like sailing out of New York City. We were on the ship by 11:45 am. The ship was completely full and many times this presented a problem. There was plenty to do on the ship with the entertainment being the best. I was happy that the casino had a non smoking section. The food at the restaurants was hit or miss. The only extra pay ...
We were on the September 8th to the 15th cruise out of New York. Because of hurricane Dorian the Escape was delayed coming back. Celebrity's ship left Bermuda with them and had no problems getting back so I don't know why the Escape was so delayed. We were notified about the delay and were told to arrive after 4 pm. So many people we met were not notified about the delay. Embarkation was a ...
We went on this cruise for my in-laws 60th wedding Anniversary, we anticipated it would an older crowd and we weren't wrong. The cruise staff was fantastic, the passengers weren’t your typical rowdy pool crowds. Finding deck chairs at the pool was no issue. Our Cabin steward Rod was amazing,. This was our second time on the ship, it is showing some wear but still a great ship. They are trying to ...
I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and thoroughly enjoyed every stop, especially St. John and Halifax. I can’t wait to go back. Service was very good. Food in the main dining rooms was, for the most part, only OK, but the buffet was quite nice for breakfast and afternoon meals and snacks. I would like to have seen more berries and legumes for salads. Embarkation and disembarkation went ...
First real time issue we had was boarding. Our cruise ship pulled in late, due to bad weather from a hurricane brewing off the coast so they apparently went around it. We knew about the late arrival because our travel agent called us and told us the ship would be in port late and we should be able to board at around 4:00 pm. Our original boarding time was 10:30 AM. As it turned out we should have ...
My sister and brother in-law talked my husband and me to join them on a cruise. We picked the NE and Canada hopefully to see fall foliage. A bit early for that but had great weather through out. We arrived a bit late so had to go directly from airport to ship. We however got a nice view of New York from our ship. Statue of Liberty was breathtaking. Our stateroom with a balcony was very ...
We love NCL but this was not our favorite ship. The good: the staff was wonderful. The entertainment was really good. Choir of Man was awesome! I loved the Wine Lovers Musical. A fun experience. The food in the Manhattan Room and Taste and Savor was really good. The ropes course and mini golf were really fun as well.
The rooms; The rooms were nice. The bathroom was the biggest we have ...
Friends chose this itinerary, but we had never been here before.
Arrival: we booked the ship’s transfer to the port. Although I would still suggest this option, expect chaos. We arrived at the airport about 9:30 am and discovered too few vans for too many passengers. Our friends arrived in the early afternoon and also discovered chaos. Nonetheless, unexpected NYC events can completely mess up ...
This was a bucket list cruise for the short change of seasons up to Maine and Canada. Our 5 cruise and have sampled them all except Holland...here's my review of the ship and cabin.
First, know that all the aft cabins do NOT have the same width balcony's. Although ours was deep enough for either the two loungers and table or two chairs and table at any given time, the other balcony's on this ...
