1-10 of 11 Canada & New England Norwegian Escape Canada & New England Cruise Reviews
I choose this cruise to see fall colors and visit the Maine and Canadian ports, which were great. The cruise on the other had was not great for me. It was far too large of a ship, very crowded, and there were virtually no quiet spaces other than on our stateroom deck. I felt like I was trapped in a casino/shopping mall/disco, with far too many people.
Positives: a great gym, with great staff. ...
We have been on many NCL cruises usually in a balcony cabin. NCL tends to nickel and dime its passengers on most items. Free perks are not really free as you are required to pay a 20% gratuity unlike Celebrity cruises where its totally free. Alcoholic beverage packages do not cover tee, coffee or water unlike Celebrity where you get a better deal covering all drinks for one competitive price. The ...
We were invited to go with a group of friends. We were a group of eight. This would be our first cruise. We spent a few days in NYC at Crown Plaza in Times Square. Hotel was okay, location was great! Though we all had downloaded the Norwegian app, we found out through some people we met the ship would be late. No notification from Norwegian about this. We delayed going to the port about two ...
it recommended by a travel agent, the ship was late because of hurricane but did not received a notice from the ncl app. waited 4 hours to board the ship. did not like the excursions for the money. the stops were good but awfully expensive,
dining was open I like reserved dining. the food was cold most of the time.
needed a area for playing cards or games
embarkment was chaotic should ...
The cruise was chosen for the itinerary. We have cruised to New England and Canada in the past with another cruise line and were very satisfied. We were able to book this cruise through our Marriott Vacation Club membership. The ship itself is fine. The way it is run is a joke. From start to finish there were issues.
Hurricane Dorian delayed the ship's arrival in New York but we were not ...
Due to hurricane Dorian we were notified several days before this cruise that the ship would be arriving late and that embarkation would take place from 4 to 7 pm (rather than 11am-2pm). We dutifully arrived at 4:30 pm only to be met by thousands of passengers milling all over the terminal. Since there we’re not enough chairs, people were sitting and lying on the floor. There were hardly any ...
Booked through a casino corporation for our third NCL cruise and it appears the cruise line is going downhill consistently. In fact the casino is the only facility/attraction/entertainment on board we can recommend. The entertainment is tedious, repetitious, and well below reasonable standards. Sing, dance, sing, dance,; rinse and repeat. In the past other ships we have been on have had decent ...
Sailed from New York as part of my birthday celebration spent 40 minutes in embarkation having passports checked by 3 different people no obvious signs of systematic security checks other than to be written on a list.
First impressions of the balcony stateroom were very good and it is fair to say we slept very well. There was a large stain on our stateroom carpet but otherwise it was clean and ...
Try booking a cruise to celebrate a special occasion, only to find out 3 days prior to sailing that you aren’t going there after all, and you have no recourse- you cannot re-schedule, you cannot cancel and get credit to rebook; you just need to suck it up and make the best of it. Safety issues were cited....... I get it. So you put on your big girl panties and deal. First you sail to a port that ...
This was one of my bucket list trips. New England in the fall. The ship arrived tp port several hours late due to a storm. I was glad safety was priority for this cruise line. the issue was they failed to notify anyone, As a result hundreds of us were at the pier with a few very misinformed Norwegian employees, Communication was an issue the entire trip.
We were late to every port. All ...
