Enjoyable Caribbean cruise
"This was my first time on the Epic and I had a great cruise but my experience was likely very different from others who sailed on this ship recently.I did not get the drink package so no long lines there, I booked Burn the Floor and specialty restaurants online ahead of time so little waiting there and my latitude rewards allowed me some great perks...."Read More

I went on this cruise with relatives who were celebrating a big anniversary and I was in a solo studio. This was my first time on the Epic and I had a great cruise but my experience was likely very different from others who sailed on this ship recently. Reasons for this may be because this cruise had fewer people on it than others recently and it seemed as though there was a lot of new staff. I ...

I like NCL cruise line just was not happy with this cruise experience this has not been my first cruise with the company. I do enjoy some things like free at sea that they offer and i didn not enjoy other this like they could have done more activities during the sea days but it was kind of monotone thru the sea days. I was really disappointed with the glow party i was expecting a little more in ...

This was a repositioning cruise, so it had both a great number of ports, and a reasonable cost. On the Pro side: - Ports were Good. Arrecife and Tortola are a bit underwhelming, but otherwise, the ports were very nice. My favorites were Palma and Funchal. - the ship was nice. Clean, lots of eating space. - the balcony was great. The weather allowed us to really enjoy it. - ...

We have been wanting to cruise on the Epic since we were on the Jade in 2011 and watched the video presentation of this latest ship in the NCL fleet. Since then, we've looked at many reviews of the ship, and finally we found an itinerary that suited us. We had a balcony room just forward of mid-ship on the starboard side (10075). It was the second balcony where the side of the ship flares out, ...

Chose the cruise due to good timing round the Easter. I have done 2 cruises on Epic before. I only had dinners in Specialty restaurants - which were mainly positive experiences - there was some service slowness issues on Wasabi and food quality issue on Cagney's but mostly was happy with the food. Breakfast and lunch experience I have from Taste and buffet and both met expectations. Worst ...

Barcelona was a city we wanted to visit and cruise destinations were places we wanted to visit Embarking procedures were very challenging, partly due to ship being late arriving at Barcelona Crowd control and information bit shambolic at this time Arrival on ship reception was good and luggage arrived a few hours later Cabin layout we found bit unusual, separate toilet, shower and ...

I must say before we took this cruise read a lot of reviews. Was a bit nervous as friends of ours were coming as well. This was their first in many years. We have been on this ship before in 2010. Knew issues with elevators and room. Will say straight out we enjoyed our cruise very much as did our friends. Embark went smoothly. Disembark was a bit slow, but with 4000 plus really no issues. Our ...

So first of all, I am an avid reader of reviews. I like to be a well informed consumer. Let me say after reading the reviews about this ship and this cruise I was more than nervous about going on my vacation. I didn't pick this cruise. We were invited to go along with a group of 10 friends and family. But I would have never picked this cruise based on the reviews people had given it. So sad. ...

This was our first transatlantic cruise and we loved it so much that we have alr day booked 2 for 2017. We got on the ship at Barcelona and got on our way. Our first stop was Canary island which is a nice little town to do a quick walk or as we did a hop on hop off bus tour on. And second stop was San Juan and that is also a nice port with much to see and do. The ship itself is well mainted and ...

Is NCL going downhill?

The Norwegian Epic Transatlantic October 2016 After ten days in Europe I boarded the Epic in Barcelona for Port Carnaveral. I have done this west bound cruise several times, and on the Epic two years ago. The seas were calm all thirteen days. Even in tropical Caribbean the temperature was comfortable and the humidity low. Contentment was sitting in your own balcony reading a good novel ...
