Logistics getting on and off the cruise, especially debarkation which was the worst of any of the 25 plus times we have cruised. We had the drink package which did not include water in the room or the self service wine bar in the buffet. The lines at the bar discouraged getting a drink. Drinks with meals were no problem. We had specialty dining. However, getting a reservation was difficult or ...
My husband and I picked this for our 2nd year wedding anniversary. While we overall still had a nice time, the staff really didn't seem to be able to keep up or pay attention to the guests.
Most of the bartenders we ran across seemed rather cranky and only half paying attention. I ordered 2 drinks at one point and my husband ordered 1. The bartender acknowledged all 3, then only brought back ...
I'll start with the things I enjoyed about about the ship.
1) I enjoyed the drink package! But, sometimes the wait at the bars were crazy. It was tolerable but could have been better.
2) The balcony view. It was wonderful sitting out every morning and night.
3) In the beginning, the staff was very nice.
4) The food at the specialty dining restaurants was very good. The buffet was ...
Me and my boyfriend booked a four night Bahamas cruise on the Epic for our first cruise. We are both college students on spring break in our early 20's, we got the drink package and it was well worth it. The first night we were very impressed, we thought the staff was very friendly and attentive. The first full day we stopped in Nassau and has a great time at Atlantis. The second day we were ...
I bought a full beverage package, but still had to pay for a bottle of water, ridiculous! Also carried on 2 bottles of my own wine, requiring a $15/bottle corkage fee especially when I'm also paying the full beverage package is larceny! Norwegian should be ashamed of this policy. Other cruise lines do not do this. The bars were nice, but overcrowded and understaffed, which made them not as nice as ...
We chose this cruise because it was scheduled for Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Great Stirrup Cay. The day before sailing, the itinerary was changed to only Nassau and GSC due to the recent engine issues. The remaining time was spent moving very, very slowly in order to extend the time at sea as much as possible. As first-time cruisers, we opted to go for the half-price offer, and go on the ...
My traveling partners had never cruised before and wanted to do a short cruise to see if they would liked it . The inclusive drink package was enticing for us. I have cruised 3 times on Carnival and once on Royal Caribbean and had heard good things about Norwegian.
I was disappointed in the size of the room and found the bathroom set up not user friendly. The space between the end of the bed ...
Overall a very mediocre experience on a quick 3-day trip. I can honestly say that with the exception of the BBQ on the private Cay on day 2 every meal was just bad. Just really quite bad. Excessively greasy and under-flavored at every meal. I regularly marveled at how even basic things like eggs and hah browns were terrible - they're pretty easy to get right. Wait times at sit-down service venues ...
We chose the 3 day Bahama cruise as an add on to our usual spring training trip.
We have cruised before on Holland America and this was a big disappointment compared to our Holland cruise. On line reviews of the Epic highlight many of the Epic's downfalls, I will add only several more. Only 1 electrical outlet in our mini suite room, under the counter where the coffee maker was located. Down ...
Previously sailed on NCL Sun and loved it. Service on the Epic is extreme - either very good (in few cases) or really bad (most).
Embarkation - the original woman checking us in was super bubbly and nice. However, her computer kept crashing, so we were passed off to another woman who seemed to be confused easily. As previous NCL cruisers, we were surprised that we wouldn't receive priority ...
