1-10 of 91 Norwegian Epic Cruise Reviews for Family Cruises to the Southern Caribbean
We were excited to try a new ship and new cruise route. First thing we noticed when going to our cabin was there were no fish swimming forward on the carpet! That is a staple on all NCL ships except this one. Minor detail but it helps at the end of a long day to help get you back to your cabin when you are exhausted.
The ship design was choppy. Floors abruptly ended and later found out ...
BE WARNED the stage show Priscilla is R rated and it ties up the main theater for several nights of th cruise. I’m not a prude but the ship’s write up did not warn it was r rated. I took my family and we were very uncomfortable. Just be aware. Otherwise the production itself is well done and the costumes were fabulous
The public areas are crowded and noisy. The atrium where they have many ...
Second cruise on a Norwegian boat, sailed on the Escape earlier in the year, we thought this would be to the same standard, unfortunately the Epic isn't.
We sailed out of port Canaveral mid December after queuing for 2 hours to get on.
We paid extra for the all inclusive drinks package only to be told that if we wanted a "Speciality" coffee, I,e, a Latte or similar we would have to pay an ...
We had an awesome family vacation on the NCL EPIC, sailing December 15-December 22 in a 2 bedroom Haven cabin. This was our first experience in the Haven and will definitely cruise the Haven in the future. Our butler, Richard and room steward, Elisa were wonderful making sure that we had anything we needed. The second day my son ordered a turkey sandwich from room service, once Richard found out ...
I can definitely tell you that this was a whole different experience. I usually cruise Carnival. But i wanted to try something different. My husband and I never had a honeymoon, now that our children are older, we decided that it was the perfect time to take one. On their website Norwegian really "seems" to give you a good value, free beverage package and freestyle dinning always sounds nice, ...
This was planned well in advance with 4 couples and 2 adult children. This is our 11th cruise and this one would rate only about 3.5 stars to us. Food was excellent, staff we encountered were excellent, room was well kept. Now the downside. We went 12-15-2018 to 12-22-2018, the ship was packed. Not sure you could have shoehorned another person on board. Many of the activities you had to either ...
We were enticed to try NCL by one of their seemingly great packages to Caribbean. First off, shame on me for not researching more about my cruise ahead of time. I am an experienced cruiser but had fallen into a comfort zone expecting similar practices from NCL that I received from RC and Princess. I felt like we had a good time despite the NCL /ship experience and also appreciate that perhaps the ...
Never having taken an NCL Cruise we were looking forward to trying Freestyle cruising. From the very start it was a disaster. Tiniest room we’ve ever had, terrible lighting. Way too many people for the commons areas, elevators etc... lines for EVERYTHING. No outdoor space, no way to stroll the decks...no outside decks not crammed with stuff. Even trying to get off the ship was a nightmare, we had ...
Elevators were a total disaster! More later.
Disembarkation at Port Canaveral was a disaster.
Full cruise package for Internet was a rip-off. Frequently simple news pages would not load at all.
Availability of information before and during was poor. There was almost no description of shows. Instructions of how to use amenities was sparse of totally non-existent.
Food was mostly good, ...
Embrakment was easy and organized. We had a balcony room lots of room for two people and storage for clothes. Dining was great. Had most meals at buffet garden cafe buffet, Cagney steakhouse, Japanese hibachi and braizilian steakhouse. Service was wonderful. Guaranteed you won’t go hungry. Don’t forget to have room service at least for a late night pizza snack. Ports of call are a way to stretch ...
