We particularly like the sea days.

As I said, we particularly like cruises with time at sea. Also, I have always wanted to go to Spain, so this was a perfect combination for us. Additionally, The Haven (for us) is worth the additional cost. It's like being on a small ship if you choose to stay in that area, but if you want to enjoy the entertainment that's available on a large ship, you can do that. The Haven Our cabin ...

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this ship after reading so many reviews, but during my time onboard I fell in love with this ship and wouldn’t hesitate to go on the Epic again. We boarded in Barcelona, and were met with long lines checking in at the terminal. While I found this a bit of a speed bump to the start of our cruise I didn’t let it bother me. Everyone was doing their best to get ...

From embarkation to disembarkation, it was a wonderful cruise. My advice: do some research beforehand so that you can set your expectations accordingly, and so details like the bathroom setup and show reservations will not come as bad surprises during the cruise. Dining: Exceptional variety of food in the buffet. Everyday there was a special in the Garden Cafe (seafood night, asian, bavarian ...

Please see my review of The Epic Apr 1 to 14 which immediately preceded this cruise. This was my B2B from The Crossing I just did from Port Canaveral to Barcelona and I just stayed on the ship and in the same cabin (which I highly recommend) If you do a B2B always stay in the same cabin if you can, it makes it so very nice. Nothing more to tell since my other review that I just wrote. I ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. We previously cruised on the Spirit and although the cruise was amazing, we thought the ship was a little worn out. We weren't sure if we would like a mega ship but as it turns out, the activities, restaurants and especially the entertainment was excellent. We had a mid-ship balcony room and found the rooms to be very sound proof - only hearing chairs on ...

This was our second TA on the EPIC (Oct 2012 was first). We had great weather from embarkation in Barcelona (which took all of 20 minutes by the way), Canary Islands, San Juan and all the sea days in between. It rained for a few hours one day but we were not outside. The seas were incredibly calm and the temperature was perfect. I mention the weather because though nothing to do with NCL---it ...

A wonderful crossing - 2016

Pleased to report the NCL Epic is still my favorite NCL ship. The refurb looks great. This was my fourth Epic TA cruise, sailing in Haven - 16016, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. This was a 13-night trip. I was traveling solo with a roommate, and part of a larger group of friends. Embarcation in Barcelona was a breeze. Disembarcation in Port Canaveral was disorganized and chaotic. Even the ...

1st TA on the Epic

Doing a Transatlantic cruise has been on the bucket list..... when we discovered a great deal on the Epic; we decided to go for it. With 10 days at sea, we got to explore the ship a lot (and saw LOTS of flying fish from our balcony). While service in the Haven was amazing, we did find service in the rest of the ship to be lack luster (either slow or un-attentive). Of course, if I had to ...

Overall Excellent Cruise

Embarkation went pretty smoothly and they managed the crowds pretty well. It obviously takes a while to load such a large ship, so I was prepared for a longer line and pleasantly surprised how quickly things moved. Disembarkation in Canaveral was a bit rocky as we had to wait a bit for bags and immigration to get in place, but everyone seemed to be in good spirits and recognized it was the first ...

Upsell to The Haven

The Haven is the place to be. Cabins are like hotel rooms and the perks are awesome. Did not actually stay in the haven as our cabin was an aft facing cabin on Deck 12 but the travel to and fro kept the pounds off. The excursions although pricey were well worth it. having a butler and conceierge to arrange for the shows and specialty dining saved a lot of time. The biggest disappointment was the ...
