Ship logistics are disorganized

10+ Cruises

Logistics getting on and off the cruise, especially debarkation which was the worst of any of the 25 plus times we have cruised. We had the drink package which did not include water in the room or the self service wine bar in the buffet. The lines at the bar discouraged getting a drink. Drinks with meals were no problem. We had specialty dining. However, getting a reservation was difficult or ...

I bought a full beverage package, but still had to pay for a bottle of water, ridiculous! Also carried on 2 bottles of my own wine, requiring a $15/bottle corkage fee especially when I'm also paying the full beverage package is larceny! Norwegian should be ashamed of this policy. Other cruise lines do not do this. The bars were nice, but overcrowded and understaffed, which made them not as nice as ...

Long lines for everything with poor customer service

6-10 Cruises

My husband and I decided on a last minute cruise and had never been on NCL before. We were excited to try something besides Disney Cruise Line to compare and contrast. We waited for 45 minutes outside in line before even getting into the terminal. From the beginning to the end of the cruise 4 days later, we waited in long, long lines for everything--even to restaurants that we had reservations ...

Huge Disappointment

My fiancée (well, as of the last night of the cruise) and I were excited to join fifteen (15) friends on this cruise which was arranged primarily for the 40th Bday celebration of one of our friends. The embarkation process seemed smooth, not knowing what to expect as this was my first cruise, but others in our group, previous cruisers, were not as satisfied. The cabin was pretty much what we ...

We have never cruised before and this looked and sounded amazing. We flew in the morning of and out the afternoon we got back. Embarkation ad disembarkation went smoothly. Much of this ship has been renovated, some they are working on. Our Balcony stateroom was nice but every single time I went to enjoy our balcony, someone was smoking on another balcony. This was a huge disappointment as I ...

2-5 Cruises

Age 60s

We chose this cruise along with 12 others to celebrate a 50 year birthday, several had not cruised but, I had. We were supposed to get off at a private island but, we did not - said weather was bad and more coming, nothing but sun that day, the bottom line is they hit a reef and then we were penalized. Spoke with several other people on ship one couple had been several times and have failed to ...

Awful waste of vacation time and our money

2-5 Cruises

Age 40s

We choose this cruise as our family vacation for the year. We enjoy beach type vacations and have enjoyed cruises in the past. We choose the Epic because it looked like it had a lot to offer our whole family. Unfortunately, we could not have been more wrong. The ship was severally under staffed. Everything had massive time consuming lines. For example, the boat offered 3 water slides, ...

Never again with NCL

20-30 minutes for a drink. Never left the ship for their "private island". Called the front desk because there was dry blood on our sheets, we could never get through, it just rang and then a message said everyone was busy, try again later. Eventually had to take sheet from a cart in the hallway. Getting off the ship was horrifying. We needed to be on the 5th floor to get off the ship. We tried ...

Great Cruise in The Haven

Cruised out of Port Canaveral, we booked a Spa Suite in The Haven. It was just my spouse and I, no kiddos! Embarkation was pretty smooth, we were boarding by 11:30 and having lunch at noon. Rooms were ready at 1pm. We used the thermal spa a couple of times once on a port day and once on a sea day. Both times it was moderately busy but still loungers available and space in the water area. ...

Enjoyable experience but would not book again

Me and my boyfriend booked a four night Bahamas cruise on the Epic for our first cruise. We are both college students on spring break in our early 20's, we got the drink package and it was well worth it. The first night we were very impressed, we thought the staff was very friendly and attentive. The first full day we stopped in Nassau and has a great time at Atlantis. The second day we were ...
