Great Fun on a Newly Refurbished Ship!

Review for Norwegian Epic to Europe - British Isles & Western

We first sailed on the Epic nearly 5 years ago when she was new. After spending 3 weeks in dry dock, she is young and new once again! This was a 6 day Iberian Peninsula repositioning cruise from Southampton to Barcelona calling at Vigo Spain, Lisbon Portugal, Cartagena Spain, and Barcelona Spain. Embarkation: Southampton is not a normal embarkation port for NCL. This, combined with the ship ...

We were travelling in a party or 4, myself and my fiance along with his sister and best friend. We stayed in Barcelona for 2 nights, then joined this cruise for 6 mights returning to Southampton. We have previously cruised with P&O, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and once on NCL Jade. This was our 10th cruise and I have to say the last with NCL! The more positive bits first.... The balcony ...

Organizational and Morale Absence

To say that the recent cruise of the Norwegian Epic from Barcelona to Southhampton was anything other than an unmitigated failure on the part of the ship's leadership and crew would require a complete denial of reality. The total lack of organization during the cruise has been well documented by several other reviewers in this forum. From the hordes surging toward the exits at ports of call to ...

This was our first cruise on NLC and the EPIC the ship its self is very large and brash it's like a floating Las Vegas hotel with no quite corners to sit and read a book or chat with friends if you gamble this is the ship for you with one floor dedicated to it. The cabins are well appointed and you want for nothing in them, the food is excellent but stay away from the Chinese the food is very poor ...

shows you had to book in advance, not told about this, so stood in stand by line as we were told there were no seats left, the epic theater was only 2/3 full, the same for the headliners. the seats in the headliners were not very comfortable. trhe theater seem to close completely half way thru the cruise. the shows were good. Service in taste resturant was not brillant. Coffee in Taste for ...

It's all in the name EPIC and it certainly did not disappoint. From escalators to aquapark fumes NCL have obviously pushed the boat out to make sure this is one of the most innovative cruise ships at sea today. From first capturing sight of the 150,000+ tonne modern marvel from our coach transfer it certainly had presence towering in the Southampton skyline. The exterior of the ship does look ...
