This was a last minute booking, literally. We were docking in Southampton on a Celebrity Cruise when we booked this sailing departing two days later. Previously only sailed with Seabourn and Celebrity, if we had accepted the poor reviews of this ship at face value we would never have booked it - and that would have been a shame.

We felt a cruise would be a great way to visit the European cities along the Baltic Sea. We understood the Dawn to be an older ship, but found it well taken care of. We are having an amazing time on our cruise! Spent 2 days in London prior to cruise at Guardsmen Hotel near Buckingham Palace and really enjoyed it. Left on National Express due to train strike and got to Southampton around 11am and onboard by 12pm! Very smooth embarkation by NCL. We had a fabulous cruise but thought we only had 1 tender port...we had 3 and each one was a total disaster. people were lined up for as much as 2 hours waiting for a tender with no communication from the ship. same thing happened on a bus excursion - 2 buses had an accident but no one told the guests so we sat there for 90 minutes waiting.terrible communication definitely need some guest ...
