Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

This is our third cruise, and our first with Norwegian. We booked a Oceanview cabin for this 7 day cruise, our previous cruises were both 4 days long and we booked Inside cabins. The cabin looks great, with lots of drawers and closet space. There are 7 lights in the room, but only one electrical outlet. This posed a problem when attempting to charge 2 smartphones, a tablet and 2 sets of earbuds. ...

First and last NCL cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Very disappointed in the overall NCL experience. Our ship was older and small, but that was the least of its problems. Food was awful and service was sparse. Long lines for drinks and food at the specialty restaurants was substandard with the exception of Cagney’s steakhouse. I was disappointed in all of the extra hidden fees on the ship and the Wi-Fi service that we paid hundreds of dollars ...

Where do I start.... Embarking time was 12-12:30, we arrived at Tampa port and line ups were very long, either passengers disregarded their time slots or NCL was very disorganized with registering passengers. We finally got through the process and arrived on the ship but had to wait for our room to be ready. Went to Garden Cafe (buffet) only half the buffet was open. We had an Oceanview ...

NCL is declining

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Sadly, NCL Dawn is just a vehicle to get to fun port destinations. As a pretty frequent cruiser, and latitudes member I must say we have seen a steady decline in NCL. The Dawn does not really honor the latitudes program that they promise to loyal repeat customers. The service is good, despite the obvious staff cutbacks. There are no longer a towel monitors and people were grabbing 4 or 5 towels ...

NCL has slipped greatly

Chose this ship for its length and NCL’s included packages. Have been on previous NCL ships, last one was when Covid was just hitting the states. We were a group of 13 all in our 50’s-60’s and we felt like the young group on board, just hit a very elderly cruise that’s all. Embarking was easy enough. Outside deck service is near nonexistent, you’ll end standing in line, waiting to ...

Hi Everyone, I finally was able to take my first vacation in 10 years so I decided to take a cruise on an older ship, but not too old because I didn't want to travel on a floating city like the ships that are being built now a days. These ships can hold 5000 + PAX and 2500 crew. I also wanted to leave from a port that was relatively close to my home. I live in Florida and we have quite a few ...

NCL GOUGES PASSENGERS. NO REASON TO "FEEL FREE" ON NCL

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

NCL used to be a very friendly cruise line with great guest services. However, during our most recent two cruises with NCL (one before and one after the Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions), they have shown they know how to ruin a cruise. This southern Caribbean cruise, our third recent cruise, is no exception, just a significant number of frustrations, disappointments, broken promises that add up ...

Very Disappointed

This was our 8th or 9th cruise, so not an expert but do have some experience. We didn't get off to a good start as I spent $249 on Priority Access (PA) which didn't actually exist. You are reading correctly, it was fraud and I am attempting to get my money back and have filed a complaint with Norwegian. We arrived to embark and asked for the PA line which is part of the description. It didn't ...

Norwegian is going downhill

We were very disappointed with our cruise aboard the Norwegian Dawn. This isn't our first cruise with Norwegian, in fact we have sailed on this ship before, but after this cruise we will never sale with Norwegian again as they main focus seems to be profit and nothing else. To begin with, when I booked, I paid for the dining and wifi package, but upon embarkement those add-ons had disappeared. ...

A lot of unhappy people

Free internet is a joke. Priority access is a bigger joke. Paid $179, only to be told on arrival” it’s raining, not available today”. Then on disembark “ oh, priority not available today”. Be very careful on your excursions, they don’t tell you it’s a 3 hour round trip drive. Left out of Costa Maya, we were never told it was an hour and a half to get to the raft excursion until we ...
