Awful Cruise - Ports Were Good

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Ship needs another set of elevators, bathrooms near the elevator on 15th Floor Café is much too small. Can’t make reservations for Complimentary Dining. Ship is much too big and venues are too small (always lineups for dinner, lineups for shows & Theatre, disembarkation, everything!), not enough seating in Garden Café, not enough quiet spots, Atrium area (6 & 7th floor) is way too loud. Too many ...

What a Disappointment

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

This cruise was over a year in preparation. Many of us were first time cruisers. We were a family of 12 looking forward to a Mediterranean Cruise and spent thousands of dollars in both excursions and for the cruise itself. We never made it to our first port Athens due to high winds and were stuck at sea, this in combination to already 2 days of scheduled sea days. We lost all our money on our ...

Abysmal Customer Service & Awful Food

I went on a 9 day Greek Isles & Southern Italy cruise with Norwegian and it was so bad that I left after day 3. The entire ship was between 78-82 degrees fahrenheit and my room was close to 80 which is not even close to being considered an expected/normal temp inside. I need to sleep in a room around 68-70 degrees. The restaurants were all abysmal cafeteria like quality food with everything ...

So we chose this cruise for our daughter's sweet sixteen gift. From the get go I didn't like reservations wouldn't allow me to put the passengers where they needed to be, two the air their was 7 of us going. So since I couldn't have my elderly father-in-law with my disabled son, my husband and I had to be their guide. My father in law and husband flew Denver to New York, then to Rome, My son and I ...

Disappointing

We chose this cruise because of the bucket list itinerary - the ports were amazing and a dream come true!! This was our 6th cruise, but our first with Norwegian. Embarkation went beautifully. We've sailed with 2 other cruise lines and the service, staff and food were always top notch. Unfortunately, we didn't quite find that on Norwegian. The cleaning staff on our floor looked tired and weary - ...

Nightmare, Do not book!!!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

I chose this cruise because of the itinerary. I have been on other NCL cruises in the past. First of all, there were way too many people on a terribly laid out ship. The masses of people congregated on deck six and it was always loud and congested. The food was mediocre at best, even in the specialty restaurants in which they charged an outrageous fee of $69 plus 20% service charge. You are nickel ...

If you love over-crowding and incompetence - take this cruise!

Based on past cruise experience we thought this would be most enjoyable. It was not. If you have a hankering for loud, over-packed crowded spaces where you enjoy standing in line for almost everything, where it took two hours of snaking lines to get into the ship, where the Buffalo Stampede Buffet serves warm (not hot) food, where the staff responsible for providing information are poorly ...

Not worth it!

Friends chose this cruise, the ship was over 4000 people, our room had pink stains on the rug and bed comforter, window had a seal leak which made the window full of water, a cheap roll shade was in place instead of the correct shade the other rooms had. No bed turn down at night or cute little towel animals. if I used my own hair dryer it blew the fuse, One pool for 4000 people, if you didn't ...

DO NOT recommend this cruise line, neither this breakaway ship! It really broke our vacations from day one! We were traveling with my senior, handicapped 82 years old mother. The flight was included and it was a 7:00AM!!! We needed to be a the airport at least at 3:00AM & we did… the airport was closed at least the airline desk. Really? We waited until finally they opened around 6AM, mind you, my ...

Very poorly run organization - avoid Norwegian

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Poorly run cruise ship. We always book rooms with a balcony – this was BY FAR the smallest room we have ever had – hardly any storage. Room steward was great and did all he could but toilet routinely wouldn’t flush and drain in bathroom emitted the smell of a urinal. Ship cancelled two trips we booked in advance – with less than 48 hrs. notice - as not enough people signed up for them to make ...
