I took this cruise because we had 12 family members also going.
The cabin with balcony was everything I expected. Just great. But we never saw ourStuart. There was a sign about towels on the floor to be exchanged and on the hooksto be used again. Didn't matter what we did they took all of them for exchange, but didn'tchange the beds, ever.

The ship was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful overall. The food in the buffet was usually cold and bland, sometimes inedible. It was incredibly busy up there and difficult to find seating. Other complementary dining was fairly bland as well. My wife and I have done seven cruises and six of them with NCL. This was such a mixed cruise. One one hand, Alaska was amazing and the ship was great. It was nice, clean and the layout was great. The observation deck was really comfortable and even the Garden Cafe seemed to be upgraded and comfortable.

We were supposed to go to Alaska in April on the Norwegian Joy. They cancelled our trip and offered us the same rate on another cruise. My wife and I just returned from this Alaskan Cruise in late August. We both have mixed reviews. There is a lot to like about this ship - it's new, it's clean, it's got a wonderful spa and thermal area! We also paid the premium rate to stay in the VIP section called the Haven. Short vacation, out of Seattle for me and my wife. Impressive big ship comes with a price when you share it with over 4000 passengers.
