I took this cruise because we had 12 family members also going.
The cabin with balcony was everything I expected. Just great. But we never saw ourStuart. There was a sign about towels on the floor to be exchanged and on the hooksto be used again. Didn't matter what we did they took all of them for exchange, but didn'tchange the beds, ever.
All the bartenders were great. Very personable. ...
The ship was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful overall. The food in the buffet was usually cold and bland, sometimes inedible. It was incredibly busy up there and difficult to find seating. Other complementary dining was fairly bland as well. The speciality restaurants were much better and if I cruised with NCL again I would only dine there. However, I don’t think that you ...
My wife and I have done seven cruises and six of them with NCL. This was such a mixed cruise. One one hand, Alaska was amazing and the ship was great. It was nice, clean and the layout was great. The observation deck was really comfortable and even the Garden Cafe seemed to be upgraded and comfortable.
Glacier Bay (which is the primary reason for going) was well organized and the captain ...
We were supposed to go to Alaska in April on the Norwegian Joy. They cancelled our trip and offered us the same rate on another cruise. On our re-booked trip on the Norwegian Bliss, they cancelled our third port at Ketchikan, saying it was poor weather. This meant that we were at sea for 72 hours straight including the day in Glacier Bay. It was my first cruise, so I had a lot to learn, but in ...
The Alaskan cruise was always one of my ambitions. This cruise was coupled with a pre-cruise three night stay in Seattle, which we very much enjoyed. I cannot fault the organisation of embarkation and disembarkation - very good considering the number of people involved. The ship staff were always very friendly and helpful and the ship was always spotless. The main downside for me was its sheer ...
This cruise was a combination of Good/Excellent and Poor (with some neutral thrown in) - getting us to a "GOOD" rating. Have cruised with Norwegian exclusively for last 6 vacation – not sure about the next.
Excellent/Very Good
The staff - Save for a few miss-charges on the account and an inability to get us the water ordered, were great. Always well intended, very courteous, attentive and ...
Overall food quality was poor. Stateroom was smaller than we are accustomed to. Ship was challenging to navigate. Large ship made buffet crowded and hard to find a table. Specialty restaurants are the focus, main dining room was poor. Itinerary was nice and the captain did an excellent job in glacier bay. The ship is new so was in great condition. Some of the lounges were great especially the ...
My wife and I just returned from this Alaskan Cruise in late August. We both have mixed reviews. There is a lot to like about this ship - it's new, it's clean, it's got a wonderful spa and thermal area! We also paid the premium rate to stay in the VIP section called the Haven. Definitely worth the extra $$. The Haven has it's own dining room with excellent dinner and breakfast and ok lunch. ...
Short vacation, out of Seattle for me and my wife. Impressive big ship comes with a price when you share it with over 4000 passengers. Crowded check in, main areas, theater shows, restaurants and elevators. You need reservation for almost everything if not you'll wait for long time on standby lanes. Lots of amenities and fun options if you don't mind being charged again for them. Surprised by ...
Cruising out of Seattle was amazing. Embarking was simple as we had our forms filled out before hand. Disembarking went smooth as well. The ship is huge 3 decks seemed to be dedicated to the elite of elites only. Our cabin balcony room was spacious and clean. Our steward was very friendly and helpful. The dining was very disappointing. We upgrade to a 3 dinner premium package all 3 restaurants the ...
