Had some vacation days , so took this last Alaskan cruise. Yes, cost was a factor in selecting this cruise!
Ship:- great clean new ship. Very stable because of stabilizers.
Room:- great room with Balcony, very good staff, the room was made up clean and neat.
Staff: very friendly staff. Don't know how they remember guest name all the time. Excellent!
Food:- just ok. Went to two ...
this was our first trip going to Alaska, we have done the carribean cruises so this was a always one we wanted to do. On the whole thee ship was great. the service was very good and the food even the buffets were outstanding. Now to two small complaints the ship has a capacity for 4004 guests and this trip only 2700 were on board. So you would think they would not have run out of coffee for the ...
We chose this cruise because my husband always wanted to go to Alaska. This cruise exceeded expectations in every way. We were just blown away by the beauty of Alaska, and also by the Norwegian Bliss!
First, the ship. She is a beauty. We received our upgrade request for a spa balcony so we had access to the Thermal Suite every day. It was great.
Our steward was Jay and he was nothing ...
chose this cruise because we wanted to experience AK and the initial price was reasonable.
received an email the Tuesday before we left that negative COVID tests were required, not complaining but, that cost us another $250, to get the 'medically supervised' tests and results before boarding.
the room was made up for a couple and our travel agent requested the beds be split, guest services ...
Check in was 5 star, I’ll give it that. Though we ran into loads of people who didn’t get a test before they got there because of conflicting information. Luckily they had Covid testing right at check in for those people but it’s not cheap $ and takes awhile. So get a test within 72 hours.
For us, we dropped our bags off and were in the buffet for lunch within 20 minutes.
The food was ...
I was scheduled to sail NCL Prima August 2022 but cruise was cancelled because of supply chain issues.
I was given a 25% off coupon towards my next cruise. I had not gone anywhere since 2019 and decided on a.second Alaskan cruise. It was a different journey than my first cruise. I was very eager to cruise and decided to stick closer to the USA because COVID was still such an ...
My father had always wanted to take a cruise to Alaska. So, I took my 79 year old elderly father on this NCL Bliss to Alaska. We were to leave from Seattle on the 10th, however, we along with the passengers who booked their whuttle with NCL got left in Seattle. We had to fly to Sitka to meet the ship and board as downliners.
We were to have a package of internet-free, packages-2 free, and ...
We are a couple who decided to finally cruise without now grown children to see Alaska. Like many people it was on our "bucket list". Norwegian seemed to make it enticing by making so many things "free", but the reality is the items that are free really only pay a small amount of the total cost of the meal or excursion, which can run into hundreds more than the 50$ you are given. The "free open ...
Overall: I chose this trip since my friends were already going, and as a single person the Bliss has solo cabins which avoids the dreaded single supplement. Since I'll be spending time with friends enjoying large quarters in the Haven it was a no brainer.
I knew a floating city of 4,000 guests could be difficult; lines for embarcation, demarcation. meals, tours, you name it, you got it, lengthy ...
This was my 8th cruise and second on NCL. From embarkation to disembarkation, the cruise was a disappointment.
Embarkation: Prior to the cruise, we were told repeatedly that no test was required for vaccinated guests. However, the night before the cruise, NCL decided to require the testing - at OUR expense. When we got to the port, we had no idea that we would spend 3 1/2 hours in line waiting ...
