Great cruise, but what is it with the tea bags?

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

I cruised with my husband; this was our 9th cruise with NCL and our 16th overall. We like leaving from NYC because we live in NJ and prefer not having to fly to disembarkation port. We chose this cruise because we haven’t been to the southern Caribbean and we were especially interested in a Panama Canal visit. Getting onto the ship from the Manhattan Cruise Port was delayed due to “Coast ...

I enjoyed my first solo traveler experience.

I chose this cruise based on port. I traveled by bus from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. The transportation I arranged was with Trans Bridge Bus line. It was effortless to and from the pier. The only thing I would have improved is there is no area to wait at the pier for Return transportation to arrive. I had to wait outside about an hour an a half in colder temps. The embarkation and ...

Mini Escape review and Norwegian really appreciates the military and vets!

We were blown away as to how much Norwegian appreciates military passengers (active, Vets and retirees).  They had a private cocktail party in Syd Norman's.  We privately met with the captain, senior officers, cruise director, etc.  They really made us feel special.  Did you know Norwegian offers you 10% off your cruise?  Don't forget to sign up for this added benefit. The cruise was great; we ...

Last minute solo cruise

This was my 3rd cruise with NCL. I decided to take advantage of a last minute deal for a much needed solo break. Overall, the cruise was in line with my expectations and what I experienced on previous sailings with NCL. I got a basic inside cabin on the 12th floor. The decor is a bit dated but the cabin was quiet, comfortable and spacious enough for me. The steward Christian was ...

Being gluten sensitive on NCL's Joy.

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Norwegian Joy

We cruised with a large group of 58 people. The 12 day re-positioning cruise left from NY & we flew home from Miami. I read many reviews about NCL's policy for people with gluten intolerance & felt safe going. I met with an assistant dining room manager & she met with me every night with the menus for the following day. I learned that NCL has a separate kitchen for preparing gluten free foods. ...

I chose this cruise for the itinerary and dates of travel. Ports of call were all wonderful, we the exception of St John, NB. No excursion is required in any of the ports (except St John) if you’re willing to walk a bit, or navigate public transport. St John doesn’t have a much to offer after a quick wander and visit tot he old market. Might be worth an excursion to Hopewell Rocks… Escape - ...

BACKGROUND INFORMATION This was a 5-day cruise on the beautiful Norwegian Joy from New York to Bermuda. This voyage concluded the Joy’s Bermuda and New England/Canada season. After this cruise, the Joy repositioned from New York to Miami to sail some fantastic Caribbean, Southern Caribbean, and Panama itineraries. We sailed this itinerary, exactly 1 year ago, on the U.S. inaugural voyage ...

We are a retired couple and this was our 7th cruise with NCL. Making this cruise our 21st. We had an inside cabin. We hadn’t cruised since 2014 on NCL. We live in New York State so we thought it would be a great starting port. We flew into JFK the day of the cruise. Arrived with no issues at 7:00AM. We bought transfers because I thought it would be a safer way to the port. ...

Lately I have only been cruising on NCL because I normally travel alone and stay in the Haven. However this trip I went with a friend so I had a Club Balcony Stateroom. The following is my review: Stateroom: Absolutely terrible, the description said it sleeps 4, it barely fits one person in the room…..sleeps 3 is pushing it. The mattress was hard, the pillows left me with a stiff neck or a ...

Let me start with a broad statement; I really am not crazy about the NCL Breakaway and similar ships. I've done Breakaway, Bliss and now Escape (my wife has also done Joy). I absolutely hate that the Atrium is the place for virtually all "game shows" and on cooler weather cruises, is the site of the glow party and other dance parties. IT IS TOO SMALL. The Escape doesn't have an alternative ...
