Review for a Bermuda Cruise on Norwegian Escape

Just got back from cruising to Bermuda on board the NCL Escape. This is my sixth cruise (Disney, Carnival, Norwegian and Princess). Our group consisted on Adults (47/46), 7 Teens (17-18) and one 12 year old. First and foremost - there are tons of passengers. It had been three years since my last cruise on the Carnival Pride and I always forget how many passengers are on board. People ...

I cruised with Royal Caribbean, Princess and Princess inspired me for wanting to cruise again. I've never cruised with Norwegian so I wanted to know how it is. We chose the Norwegian Escape which sailed out from New York. It's the mega size ship, but with that big amount of passengers I felt cramp; and the layout of the ship is not beautiful either. The food in the buffet was terrible, same ...

Embarking was easy but the lines around 11:45 am were very long. Try to book your shows and specialty dining 90 days prior to sailing. Once on the Escape, you should book the shows at the Box office that you were unable to book ahead. You can also change your days or time for the specialty restaurants and shows if needed. Tip: the electronic boards might display no availabity but at the box ...

We took the Breakaway 4 years ago and enjoyed it so we opted for the new Escape. We love Bermuda and the fact that the ship docks there for 2.5 days, so no stress island jumping day to day and rushing to return to the ship in time. Also, we live near Boston so we just drive to NYC. No flying involved. Escape is a very pretty ship with lots to do. You certainly can't do everything it has to ...

I have sailed on the NCL ships going out NY for the past 10 years. I love it. On vacation 45 minutes after you leave your house in LI. I immediately booked the Escape when I heard it was coming to NY, new shows, some different amenities....exciting. I had sailed the Breakaway 5 times in past 4 years....and LOVED IT. We were in the Haven first day a bit off but after that perfect, Food ...

Pros: The food at Cagney's, La Cachina, Manhattan Room and Moderno was excellent. I appreciated that you can now get room service on the morning of disembarkation. The shows were top notch and very entertaining, especially enjoyed Dueling Pianos. The gym is very nice and the cold towels were refreshing after a workout. I love NCL for their end of day in port welcome! Complete ...

We enjoyed this cruise. the staff was very friendly. The meet and greet was excellent. NCL does a great job organizing the meet and greet. The Hotel director and the F&B director was excellent. The major problem was my wife being gluten free was a real disappointment on this ship. There was very few gluten free desserts. You had to ask each time for the meals and even when you ordered ahead ...

NCL Escape NYC - Bermuda Round Trip, Excellent 7 days!

I booked this cruise the Tuesday before sailing because of a great price for a solo traveler. From embarkation to disembarkation and all in between this was a great 7 days. Boarded with group #1 very quickly. Weather for the week was not the best, but that's not under anyone's control. Ship departed on time, arrived in Bermuda on time and departed on time. Arrival back in NYC was early and was off ...

Cruise ship nickeled and dimed us to death. Had to spend money for any entertainment. If you liked to eat, drink and gamble, this ship is for you. Not enough time spent in Bermuda, too much time on ship. Bored on the ship most of time. Any entertainment that was there, we could never find a seat. Slot machines are worse that I’ve experienced. Usually, I can play them for awhile but these ate the ...
