All the staff were lovely, and deserved better from the management who have made some awful business decisions. We've cruised with Celebrity and were keen to compare as we have never swerved from Celebrity before. As the say ' One and done'! Never book Norwegian again. And it was a similar price to Celebrity.
Embarkation at NOLA was just awful....shouty officials and queues a mile long. 2 and ...
5 of us traveled on the Casinos at Sea promotions. When we arrived at the port, the wait time was over 1 1/2 hours to get to a desk to check in. There was no priority line for my mother, who was in a wheel chair, nor the Casinos at Sea invited guests. It was stifling hot in the indoor area where the line was. We finally were able to board the ship, and went straight to O'Sheehan's, which never ...
First time on Norwegian. Have cruised on Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Had high hopes for this cruise line as they are suppose to be more “elite”.
Let’s start with the positives. The STAFF is what stops this from being a completely negative review. They were all so nice, friendly and made you feel welcome. The cabin was okay. Same as other cruise lines.
Unfortunately that’s ...
First look at the false advertisement NCL claimed to offer rock climbing and even currently they say this is offered on the breakaway, however you can see from my recent April 2022 photo the rock wall is gone. It was apparently removed during the covid-19 cruise stoppage period. They also closed the splash academy for child care and closed the kiddie splash pad swim area and blamed the closure on ...
NCL is the best for solo travelling - best pricing and inclusions, solo cabins if desired, great solo hosts and nightly solo gatherings at 5:30 in special bar/lounge. Host can get any number of solos into different restaurants, shows, etc and the best host I have had was this week’s Patrick. He was fantastic and as part of entertainment team, he was great for trivia and other events. Could not ...
Overall: 2/5
TL;DR - Entertainment was lacking and the ship is catered the older crowd, didn't have anything for anyone between 25 - 35 years old. NCL will also upcharge you for EVERYTHING. We had an additional $250 worth of charges that were a mistake (as we had the premium plus package) and it took multiple trips to the service desks to get them removed as there we 4 of them on the ship that ...
We had two adults and a 13yo on the ship. As stated in other reviews, there is good meh, and bad.
Good- the staff is truly five stars. Even with the masks the staff was always friendly and helpful, greater you every time you walked by, and went out of their way to help you. The best.
Staterooms- Amenities we’re great. We had an outside room/balcony. Everything worked, hot water, ac were ...
First the positives:
The service staff was fantastic. All of them work incredibly hard and are incredibly friendly and really want you to have a great time.
Passenger numbers were around 2200, making it not difficult to do almost everything you wanted and not feel crowded. The ship certainly did not feel empty by any means. The pool was always busy, but you could find a lounger no ...
We originally were booked in the Escape, but were cancelled ( with insufficient notice - they had to know earlier this ship wasn't sailing) because of the recent grounding. My sisters and I had vacations dates set and were excited to go so we took the option to transfer to the Breakaway out of New Orleans. This was supposed to be an even exchange ( no additional cost for equal accomodations, yet I ...
After two years of not taking a vacation, we were ready to go! This same cruise was planned pre-pandemic. Needless to say, it was cancelled. When I rescheduled I told my wife that maybe we ought to upgrade to the Haven. She agreed. All the things I've heard about the Haven were proven to be true! From check-in, where we walked right past all the people on line, to disembarkation, where again ...
