STAY AWAY!!! NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Where do I begin. From day 1, the cruise has been a nightmare. From the entire ship smelling like feces because they were having internal plumbing problems. Everything kept breaking down around ship. The hot tubs was cold and packed with kids. The pool was filled with kids with boogers and spit floating everywhere. The food was disgusting in every restuarant but what you had to pay for. They lost ...

Understaffed and limited menu

I have sailed Norwegian several times and and enjoyed our trips. We found that the ship was understaffed in the dining room, and at the bars. The ship was full and it does not appear NCL planned for the volume of people. I rarely saw any any bar servers. The bartenders were often overwhelmed in the atrium. The dining room was slow for every meal. The food was hit or miss with some excellent ...

Extremely disappointed!

Chosen for value and step up from Carnival. Mistake! Food quality was poor. Main dining and buffet were decent. Brazilian was bad. Especially for the price. Casino was horrible. Lost $80 in video poker machine and it locked up. Attendant would not show us the ticket and neither would the manager. Cabin staff, wait staff and bartenders were excellent. Ports were good. Definitely go to the zoo in ...

Last Cruise with NCL -- Avoid Cabin 9104

Ncl assigned me cabin (9104) supposedly ocean view, but actually a totally obstructed view. i could not change cabins. customer service essentially told me, "tough. you aren't the first passenger to complain about this cabin." cabin steward didn't deliver my latitudes stuff timely. i had to chase him down. long lines everywhere on the ship. impossible to get reservations to shows because we ...

A disappointing Cruise overall

This was my third cruise and first on Norwegian. I will never book this ship again and will be hesitant to use Norwegian in the future. The Good: Staff was friendly and attentive. The cabin was OK and we had no issues with an inside stateroom. Price was good and included unlimited booze (no top shelf), 150 minutes internet and one dining upgrade. Good bang for the buck. Decent Buffet. ...

Not the dream vacation we envisioned

We were so excited for our family cruise and our anniversary. It was a first cruise for most of our group. Being with family and seeing some beautiful places was fabulous but the cruise itself was far from what we expected. Boarding the ship at our scheduled time is a joke we are packed in like sardines and everyone is crowded in such a small space. However once on board we found we could not ...

About the Reviewer: I’m a middle-aged American male who traveled solo on this, my 62nd voyage. Just over half of my sailings have been with NCL, however, I have sailed on other cruise lines including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC and Carnival. This was my second cruise as a Diamond Latitudes member, which is NCL’s second highest Latitudes tier. This was my 8th voyage of the year and my 4th on ...

I can barely think of positive things to say about this boat and staff. We were at 105% capacity. They could not handle the people THEY overbooked. The food was sub par, they would close hot tubs and pools randomly, for seemingly no reason. You could not go anywhere on the ship without waiting in line for a long time, or being shoulder to shoulder crowded.2 hour+ wait time for meals. The staff was ...

I choose this cruise because a friend recommended it to me I brought my 2 kids. This experience was amazing! They're so many amazing things to do on board like the thrilling water slides they had! I recommend the drink package! They staff were very friendly and helpful, because on of my kids went to bed on the couch and when I called room service for extra blankets and pillows they came right away ...

Beautiful, potentially fun ship that is overcrowded and seems understaffed

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Breakaway

Our family of four, including two adult children, chose this cruise as a fun family getaway for Christmas week. We had traveled on Norwegian a few years ago and had enjoyed the "freestyle" concept and the many entertainment and dining options. Although we generally had fun on this cruise, we found ship's public spaces so overcrowded and the ship so obviously understaffed in some areas that we ...
