Not an enjoyable cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Overall we didn't find much we liked about this ship or NCL's ability to communicate clearly. The extra charges for simple things really turned us off. Room service is $5 for breakfast and $10 the rest of the day. They will not allow an electric kettle in the room like other lines so if you want hot water it will cost a little over $12 for them to bring you a hot pot of water. Want to get some ...

NCL HORROR STORY Choose any other cruise line than NCL, what you think you are saving you will pay in disappointment. I booked a mid-east cruise in Aug.‘23 and was a prisoner on-board NCL Norwegian Dawn for 10 days after they cancelled five of eight featured/ advertised ports because of war (understandable) and because four Arab ports barred American ship entry (according to ship grape-vine). ...

NCL Dawn Cruise from Istanbul to Dubai Nov 24 to Dec 13 The cruise changed a number of times. This was explained as a result of the conflict in Palestine. However, stops in Egypt were removed with others added. Sea days were also added. A credit of $200 for the stateroom was provided for the entire trip. No explanation of the compensation for the missed ports, additional sea days, and reduction ...

Very disappointed with NCL on our latest cruise. The ship was dated, should have done our homework on this ship first, yes our fault but not only that the ship broke down in Colombia, no electric which meant no air con, extremely hot in Columbia! We had to stay in port overnight but 2 full days there! Was allowed off the Ship but nowhere to go, no shuttle buses were put on, Columbia a bit of a ...

Norwegian sucks

We chose this cruise for the itinerary and the 3.7 reviews. Someone must have gotten paid to give them a decent rating. Perhaps the specialty dining would have been worth eating but we actually lost weight on a 20 day cruise because I refuse to pay extra for food that should be part of the cruise The tea was tea flavored beverage. The orange juice was Orange juice cocktail. Grilled fish....what ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Cruise number 14 for us. Panama Canal passage on the list of " must do ". The price seemed very reasonable, although with Norweigan the extras add up like one of those $29 airfares that actually costs $229 when you pay for all the necessary extas. We had put in a "bid" for an upgrade that works like an auction over about a week period. Day before cruise received an email stating that our bid ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary— had booked it in 2020, but it was cancelled, so we were very excited to finally go. Had a concierge level room. 11610 with a tub. To keep this short- here are pictures of the tub water (see below). No adjustments, no apologies. Told to contact Guest Services in Miami- got a crappy form letter saying how wonderful NCL is!! We have been on 18 cruises on ...

we had to choose this cruise because ncl kept canceling our other choices, e.g. Hawaii, and we had to do 2 b2b because ncl said regarding our FCC, "use it or lose it". we usually pick ncl because of the broadway musicals and the thermal suites on the new ships. thermal suite used to cost $199 for 2 wks and $299 for a mo. the suite on the jade now costs $436 for 3 wks. and the jade suite ...

We choose this cruise due to ports of call. But firstly, the CC editor needs to reevaluate this ship. Especially: ‘Bottom Line Excellent value for the high quality of food, service and itineraries’. What a joke! The food onboard was abysmal. Even after leaving Dubai it was virtually the same everyday and got worse as it went on. In the Garden Buffet after day ten you really ...

This should have been our trip of a lifetime, my retirement gift. Despite being informed of most port closures, NCL took the decision to set sail. From day 1 the cruise went downhill - despite having just come out of dry dock following a 100million dollar refurbishment, the ship had maintenance issues. Ceilings falling in, public toilets not finished, stateroom bathroom facilities missing to ...
