3-Day Bahamas Cruise (Norwegian Sky)

Review for Norwegian Sky to Bahamas

Prior to COVID outbreak, my wife and I have taken this 3-day (weekend) cruise on the Norwegian Sky as a quick getaway from work stress. The Norwegian Sky was refurbished in 2019 and is in immaculate condition. While the Sky does not have the bells and whistles on the larger NCL vessels, it was prefect for a quick getaway. In general, we find the Sail for Free Promotion, where you get ...

Terrible communication, terrible private island transportation

Review for Norwegian Breakaway to Caribbean - Eastern

Terrible communication, terrible private island transportation. Overall the Cruise wasn’t bad but The last port visited was the private island which I was looking forward to the most. If you bought a shore excursion you were in luck because you were allowed to get off of the ship in time to enjoy the island. If you did not you were stuck with a late tender appointment, for us it was 1:30 PM. ...

Bad ship, good stops

Not sure why most reviews give decent stars but bad comments, so I’ll be very honest with mine. This was my first cruise with my boyfriend and his parents, who have gone on a similar route with celebrity. We all agree the ship itself is no good, especially if you don’t have enough money. I travel often, am not picky, and like to make the most of any trip, but this cruise was key enough to make a ...

NCL disappointed me

Review for Norwegian Breakaway to Caribbean - Western

Just did two prior cruises on Celebrity and MSC, and NCL Breakaway was a dissapointment. Only good thing I can say is that the food was pretty good in most restaurants and that only one night we had great service at the Manhattan with Jay Deniso and Mauriel Often. Aside from that, the service and the wait was unbearable. The Garden Cafe should be serving the food as Celebrity was doing. ...

We have traveled on NCL several times over the past several years and they have gotten worse and worse. We started paying for higher level cabins but now the food has gotten to the point where it is like eating at golden corral. We were forced to eat in the main dining room the entire cruise because we could not get reservations for any other dining room since they had the Savor closed for ...

After 4 years of waiting, 3 cancellations, and passing the COVID test the day we flew into Miami, we finally were able to embark on the Norwegian Sky at the end of May 2022. Embarkation (5 stars) – We used the new NCL Miami terminal. The new facility is very nice and a great first impression. Embarkation was smooth, quick and the staff were very professional. Ship (3 stars) – The ship was ...

This cruise had been twice booked and twice cancelled due to Covid. We were both vaccinated and double-boosted and decided to try again. The cruise was very decent. The ship was maintained well and clean. All staff and crew wore masks which I appreciated. Most of the cruisers did not. There were supposed to be staggered embarkation times, but something went way wrong. We were severely ...

First Time Cruiser - Seemed Mediocre From Friends

We went on this cruise as a wedding guest. A few things were frustrating according to us and other (long-time) cruisers. Inability to access app prior to leaving port. Reservation issues (duplicating or not going through to the boat's system) on the app. Minimal options for things to do after 11pm. As for food, the buffet was great. I wouldn't recommend ordering anything from the complimentary ...

Premium plus package. Purchase because I like upscale wines. Premium wines are only available in the dining room and it will take an additional 15 minutes to convince staff the wine is included in the package. If they sit the wine on the table they assume you purchase the bottle and it will be placed on your bill. Only cheap bottles of wine is available to purchase by the bottle. Staff would ...

Have been blessed to experience 8-10 cruises. This last cruise left alot to be desired, we experienced the following Lack of staff - major dinning room closed through out the cruise, shore exscursion desk very limited on having it open. 30 minute wait at the front desk at all times. Inability to arrive at port on time Constant smell of burning desiel and/or burning trash accompained by ...
