Pre-Christmas Family Cruise. My wife and I are in our 50's, 3 adult children and a fiance' in their 20s. Our family has always enjoyed cruising. This ship is in desperate need of some maintenance and an upgrade. Very dated and a lot of things not working. Several people claimed of no working toilets. My lights in room weren’t working. Been in NCL haven suites on 2 prior cruises where the Haven was over the top excellent. Maybe 90 cabins total on our ship were Haven suites. On Viva I would guess at least 25 percent of the rooms were classified as Haven and felt the special treatment like our last cruises was lacking. The magic of " The Haven " wasnt there. The Sky is an old ship. We knew this but NCL claimed their upgrade in 2022 was great. Not.
Pros: Crew, all great, esp. 'Yogi' the butler and 'Huberth', concierge. Layout of the cabin (not the location, aft penthouse suite- above the show theater. Production shows were spectacular, all of them. Cagney's steakhouse was superb.

Overall the service was good. The bartenders were amazing. The room Stewart are ok and know that they only service your room once per day. Most waiters were excellent but definitely luck of the draw.

14 of us embarked on a Thanksgiving Week cruise to celebrate my mom's 85th birthday. We were 7 adults and 7 kids (ages 6-13). Overall it was a fun week, due mostly to the ports of call. The ship is lovely but management issues unfortunately took away from much of the enjoyment.
