This was my second cruise experience. My review of this ship will be in comparison with our prior cruise with Royal Caribbean.
First, the ship was overrun with children. Children at bars, shows, pools, just about everywhere. The adult pool was supposed to be kid free until about 5 pm, and the staff did a good job enforcing it. However, some of the hot tubs around the pool were family friendly ...
I went on a Norwegian cruise many years ago and loved everything about it. Excellent food, service, activities - all great. This recent cruise on the N. Getaway was a disappointment. FAR too many people jammed onto the ship made dining and pool time difficult to enjoy.
The cabin was nice, the crew and employees were very friendly but we had inconsistent service quality throughout our time ...
On of my sons, who lives in St Petersburg, Florida, wanted t take his family (wife, son, and daughter) on a cruise over the Thanksgiving 20218 holidays. One of our other sons, his wife and daughter joined with my wife and I.
We were very impressed with the ship, the Getaway. It was very smooth, had very little roll, and very minimal vibration from the screws. Our balcony cabin on deck 13, ...
Here's the good: The ship was great, I liked the layout, lots to do. We did our own excursions on land, but we liked all the ports; especially the variety - all 4 days were different. NCL's private caye was better than expected; just go knowing it will be a relaxing easy going day, and you will enjoy your time there. The margharita at the land shark rank one of the best I've ever had. ...
Want to see the beautiful western Caribbean islands. That ship was very modern, however the cabin had a great view but needed new mattress. The food was outstanding and so was the entertainment. The bartenders were very friendly and funny and could make just about any drink you want to. The buffets and the dining room food was incredible, and the food at the specialty restaurants was ...
first of all I have been on 21 cruises maybe the last 5-6 were on NCL,
I enjoy cruising and always felt it gave a lot of bang for your buck. I have ever written a negative review to this extent.
ship is very nice, embarkation and debarkation went as usual. No big surprise. This process is always confusing hectic and slow for this ship it was no different.
The ship well cared for ...
Family thanksgiving trip....
Room: 10280 balcony was the smallest balconies I have ever had could not have been more then 2 feet in length two chairs could only fit facing each other with the smallest table between.....NEVER AGAIN! I don't go the extra mile with my dollars for a Juliette balcony!!!! My granddaughter was with us and she had the SOLO room on the tenth deck 10521 and she ...
We picked this cruise for its many options, from solo cabins to dining options to water slides. Options on a large ship also means crowds.
Dining: do get specialty dining. Reserve it well before you sail. The teppanyaki was excellent, le Bistro not as good as French I’ve had on other lines.
Don’t expect to get to a lot of entertainment on those nights. You need to book entertainment the ...
7-day Cruise from Miami, FL to Belize, Honduras, Costa Maya & Cozumel, Mexico. We drove to the port because we live in Florida. The off port parking was a hot mess. Do yourselves a favor and don’t choose “Best Miami Cruise Parking.” They have no concept of costumer service. Anyway, on to the good stuff.
As a family, we chose Norwegian because we always heard great things about the cruise ...
We were told this cruise line was great for kids. We chose poorly for our timing, sailing the week of US thanksgiving - we're from Canada.
I spoke with someone who told me they found out there were just short of 5,000 passengers on the boat due to the number of kids. The "splash club" (please don't hear the kids get to swim) was so full I had to get in a long line when we arrived to sign them ...
