Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Just got back from a cruise (L.A. - 2 sea days - Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo, sea day, L.A.) on the Norwegian Bliss with wife and two teenaged daughters. It was all of our third cruise on Norwegian (we'd been to Alaska and another from New Orleans to Cozumel, Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya), so we had some level of expectation. We were in two balcony staterooms on deck 15, mid-port. ...

Even the engineer in our group wasn't completely wowed by the canal, we've cruised other canals, know how they work...other than the history and kinda cool engineering of recycling the water it wasn't that exciting and made us wonder why it was a "bucket list" thing for some. There are other smaller canals around the world that are much more fun to navigate because there are sights along the way, ...

Long cruise, Nice Ship and good experience

Sailing on the Bliss for a 15 day Panama Canal cruise from LA to Miami. Overall the ship is very nice--well maintained and nicely appointed. Embarkation was smooth as butter--we bought the priority embarkation option and it really took us less than 10 minutes from drop off at the port to getting our keycards and getting on the ship. Dining options are plentiful with several specialty ...

Big Ship Issues

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

Quick holiday week getaway, itinerary wasn't important, chosen mainly for closeness to us (SEA - LAX) and low cost. Second time we've left out of "World Cruise Center, San Pedro" and both times embarkation was poorly organized outside the terminal, taking over two hours of waiting. Unlikely to use that port again. Bliss is a fine ship, but has big ship issues. SLOW elevator service. ...

We just returned from our Mexican Riviera itinerary on the NCL Bliss. The ship was great, try not to be discouraged by some of the negative comments people post. The ship was clean and our balcony stateroom, was great. Note - ask your cabin staff for a mattress topper (they have a limited number available, but it really made the bed more comfortable. And, don't miss Mark Klein, best comedian ...

Just completed 20 days on the sun from Seattle to Fl. First off we had a penthouse i bedroom rear facing suite on the 10th floor that had a very large deck with two chairs and two loungers with thick and comfortable pads. The room was ok - the shower wad small to fit the 6 foot tub. The living room needed an extra chair and bigger table for eating on but we just bough in a deck chair. The bed was ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Encore

This has been the only cruise line we have been on this being our fourth cruise. As with all cruise lines post-pandemic, They are cutting a few corners to increase their bottom line. less entertainment and reducing hours and variety at their buffet. That was all that I noticed. I believe every cruise line is doing that. The Panama Canal was a little boring. You are just slowly going through the ...

Bucket list cruise

This cruise was my bucket list cruise. Leaving Miami cruising through the Panama Canal and ending up in Los Angeles. 15 days with 7 ports, going places I've never been. Embarkation went really well, things were very organized and it was a smooth process. The ship itself was very clean. The crew did an excellent job keeping things clean. The food was great, we did eat at the buffet most of ...

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

I'll start with the highs: We enjoy the Jewel's size-not too big, not too small. The staff were all great, as usual. We enjoyed the shows. We ate mostly at specialty dining for dinner, and we liked them all, especially Cagney's. In Ensenada, we walked to the fish market and had some great fish tacos. In Cabo, we took a ship's shore excursion to the Casa Dorado Beach Resort and it was great. ...
