Just finished a 10 cruise with friends and family, chose the Escape as a couple of members of the party had travelled Norwegian before.
We had a Club Balcony Suite, sharing between 3 adults and a 16yo. It was spacious, with all beds being a good size (son is 6ft 3 and slept on the pull down bed with ease), great shower and bathroom. Room was scrupulously clean and we even had a couple of ...
Embarkation: Very fast. There was a long line (out the terminal door) at 10am when we arrived for our 9:30am check-in, but it moved very fast and we were on the ship within 40 minutes. There is no muster drill anymore, which is great.
Bars: Extremely slow service, especially by the pools, unless you are willing to be rude and push yourself into the bartenders attention (which I am not). I ...
We are a family of 6, mom, dad, 19, 17, 6, 3.
July 24-31 BCN-BCN
We had two cabins 10087 and 10088. Booked flights through NCL with one free flight included per cabin. Since we had two cabins, they actually booked flights for each cabin separately and our family was split up 3 and 3 on separate flight itineraries! I was shocked that they would do this, but when I called (on hold for an ...
We chose this cruise for family activities and splash academy when the kids arent with us.
Bad communication and organization:
We missed the one email of hundreds of spam emails NCL sended out that described needing a covid test. As a result, about 1,000 people waited over 3 hours at the port to see the one technician administering tests. We showed up at about 3pm, and ended up boarding ...
Although just 2 adult travellers, work commitments meant we had to travel in the school holidays, there are a lot of families aboard as expected but we have generally found adult only areas and it has not been an issue.
Our cabin (14826) club balcony suite midship but a distance from either front or back stairs (no midship stairs on here), but is spacious, spotlessly clean, enormous bathroom ...
This was our first time on any NCL ship and we were travelling as a group of four (2 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 8). Our previous cruises have been with Celebrity, Seaborn and Royal Caribbean.
We chose this particular cruise late in the day after not having travelled anything much over the last couple of years due the pandemic. The port of embarkation, we knew, and the destinations ...
Norwegian Esacape was a really Lovely ship and we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. However the Pool on the top deck was way too small for the amount of passengers onboard - so this definitely was a big down point for this voyage! The Speciality restaurants were really nice but to be honest the regular dining restaurants were probably up to the same standard.
Loved the whole experience of ...
We were a family of 11 people .... multigeneration ( grandparents , 4 adult couples and granddaughter ) and this ship accommodated everyone perfectly ! No worries at all, from food to entertainment it was a 6 star experience ! We also had multiple dietary needs , vegan, vegetarian and kosher , and ALL were catered to individually and deliciously ! Kudos to Brendan and Charlotte ( our matre de) ...
The good…virtually any cruise is enjoyable. this was no exception. the ports we visited were wonderful. the crew added positive vibes to our adventure. every one was cheerful and friendly. a couple of bartenders, anna and salvador deserve particular mention. our room steward, darryl was also first rate.
The bad…ok, the food wasn’t bad. are golden corral or applebee’s bad? no, but it’s ...
We just got off a 7 night W Med cruise in and out of Civitavecchia. NCL was less than up-front about the availability of amenities onboard due to maintenance and staff shortages. In hindsight, they were dishonest. 3 days after our trip, the only email from NCL is a copy of our bill, no thank you, no follow-up.
During our entire cruise both Spice H2O and the sports complex were closed due to ...
