Norwegian only 3 star after covid years

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Star

We chose this cruise to visit Morocco and several ports we had not been to but the Moroccan ports were cancelled at the last minute. Although this was a complete overreaction by the cruise line and we were disappointed it was followed by many other disappointments. The food onboard is nowhere as good as that offered precovid, ie some cold dishes and the flavour and variety has deteriorated. We had ...

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Normally I take NCL, have been on several ships. The Prima is not my thing, to sum it up: The lay of the upper decks is not great, for example there is no walking/running around the ship track. The upper deck is taken in by a cart track and some other stuff. There is no real large deck sunning area. What I did like was deck nr 8 with a lot of nice sofa's, whirlpools to sit ...

Prima… more like a Carnival cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Prima

I heard so much negative about this ship, but, I liked the itinerary and I wanted to judge for myself. So many billing mistakes, charges for shuttles to drive off the dock (not in the dailies) 3 ports had anywhere from 7euro to 20 and I didn’t get off the ship but I was charged and they won’t remove. Princess cruises, docked with us in Livorno, had no charge to shuttle. The casino crew was ...

Many issues on Norwegian Epic

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Epic

My wife, a friend, and I just completed the 12 day Mediterranean Cruise on the Norwegian Epic which left out of Rome on November 8. My wife and I have been on NCL a couple of times in the past and had a great experience - wish I could say the same for this trip. The Epic can hold over 4500 passengers; but, there are only 2900 on board (just over 1/2 capacity). Below is a list of issues ...

Back to back 10 port Mediterranean with Trans Atlantic and carribean finish

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Viva

Always on the new NCL ships as they come out and this time it was the VIVA. End of season 10 day 10 stops Italy trip so less humans and lucked out on the perfect weather. Added the inexpensive Trans Atlantic in place of flight home from Lisbon which was cheap since our final flight home was only from Miami to LAX. Added bonus on TA cruise of limited capacity (2900) for TA cruises by the coast ...

Don’t Cruise if you’ve Cruised with Celebrity Edge Class Ships.

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Viva

I was HIGHLY disappointed with this Ship. From the food to the abysmal customer service, it’s never failed to continue to unimpressed me. Let us start with the smallest buffet at sea. It is one of the worst, poorly designed buffets in the industry. The selection of food was minimal and the service was trash. Not once during any of my meals was I asked if I would like something to drink. On another ...

We loved this new ship

This was our 14th NCL cruise, and we have cruised on several other lines, river and ocean. With NCL, the gem class was our favorite class. We had tried the larger ships, Epic, and Breakaway, but preferred the smaller ones, but mainly chose the itinerary. Our Nov cruise, we went back and forth between the Star itinerary and the Viva's. After reading some reviews about the Prima, we were leaning ...

Utter Disappointment

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Viva

We have cruised with NCL 8 times and were looking forward to Viva. There are some positive features to this ship but there are some MAJOR FLAWS. Positive features: staterooms are very spacious, huge bathroom sinks, spacious showers, good water pressure, and ample closet/storage space for your luggage. Negative features (where do I start?): the buffet is 4x too small for a ship of this size, ...

NCL Profits on Skipped Ports

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Jade

User Avatar

1 -At the pier, we were directed to the wrong line to begin check-in (not a good omen). There were 6 stations, where each NCL person had a paper printout of 2,000 people to flip through to find our names (oh,boy). 2 - Room sounds as if the storm is inside. Steward explained, in a somewhat miffed tone, that we did not push the handle hard enough. DL cannot do this, Ken will need to help. We ...

An Average, Enjoyable Transatlantic Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We chose this cruise as we wanted to experience a transatlantic crossing. This itinerary suited us as Portugal is a country we had not been to, and we wanted to visit New York again. We are Platinum Latitude members and after sailing on a few other cruise lines we prefer the NCL Freestyle experience and Speciality Dining options. We do not like the bigger ships and mainly choose a cruise based ...
