If you want to relax and get away from your regular life...don't cruise Norwegian!
From the moment you board the ship you are up-sold constantly. We bought the beverage package yet coffee and water were not included but a 15.00 glass of wine was. ..are you kidding me? They even had a presentation to sell you a discount for a future cruise which made you feel like you are missing out now and you ...
Like most people Alaska cruise is on your bucket list. We have been on 4 cruises with RC, the first 2 were good, then they got progressively worse. Good friends are NCL regulars so we went with them this time. The embarkation process was a nightmare. There were 3 ships leaving at the same time. We were herded like cattle from one waiting area to another. At check in they messed it all up, had to ...
We enjoyed each stop and anytime spent outdoors enjoying Mother Nature. Truly a breathtaking exsperience.
The majority of the staff were very unhappy. A few smiled but most seemed despondent. We quickly agreed. There were no good meals. It seemed the food had been left sitting out and was tasteless. There was a few exceptions the pretzel rolls and the chocolate lava cake. None of the meat was ...
This was my first cruise overall and first trip to Alaska also.
Overall the cruise was poor, I thought. The ship is really showing its age, the buffet was basically 1 step above school cafeteria food and the complimentary dining locations were only a little better. Our cabin steward was very good. The pre-cruise hotel was adequate but there was a lot of confusion over how the pier transfer ...
A cruise to Alaska was on our bucket list. We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary.
Scenery was FANTASTIC. Our best excursion was a catamaran to Dawes Glacier by Allen Marine - a priceless experience.
The food was sub par - at best. Buffet from purgatory. One day they served MEAT LOAF at the carving station! You can't make this up. The menu was SFDD - Same Food/Different Day. The other ...
We certainly enjoyed the food in 'Le Bistro'. The trivia was very good. The itenery was why we chose to take our 1st Norwegian cruise. So much for the good.
We bought an outside cabin, with an unobstructed window. That window was so dirty that details we inaccessible. We asked, I begged(!), them to clean the window. They actually told me that those windows only get cleaned during drydock! ...
This was a 21 day from Tokyo to Seattle cruise. We arrived 5 days early in order to explore Tokyo. Hired a local guide and had a great time. Stayed at the Marriott Shinagawa and used their Concierge Lounge. Great hotel and service.
We took a cab to the ship and the embarkation process was swift and efficient as we had a 2 bedroom (H4) Haven suite. Our suite, Cabin 14010 was filled with mold ...
Chose this cruise because of the places visited
Found the food and service on the ship to be poor the only "wow " meal we had was a paid meal in the French Bistro , even then this must be the only french bistro that did not have French wine available !!!
Disembarking at ports was a shambles in particular in Hong Kong where hours were spent waiting to go ashore only to find only one half ...
Good things:
Emerson – our cabin steward
Waitresses in Azura Restaurant
Food – only 1 bad meal (in LaCachina)
Entertainment – very good
Throughout the cruise – The windows all over the ship, both common areas and rooms are filthy. I paid extra for a room with a larger window and could barely see out of it because it was sooo dirty.
Most of the crew were from the Philippines. ...
seemed a good price for what was offered, 4 of us booked together for the south east asia cruise, asking for cabins at least on the same deck as we have always had on previous events cruises with ncl, royal caribbean and p and o. well we were at the front on deck 5 and our friends were aft on deck 8. we spoke to infinity cruises who we booked through, the paperwork and organisation for infinity ...
