Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

Waste of time and money

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

The food and the service was the worst I have ever experienced in comparing to the 19 cruises I had before. Menu in the complimentary restaurants were almost the same every day for 15 days. We chose to eat outside of the ship as many times as possible. Waiters and most of the crew members never greeted any guests, including sales personnel in the shops, they just ignored you. Shows were terrible, ...

The Jewel is Destroying the Norwegian Brand

In 2016, we enjoyed our earlier cruise with NCL Star for 21 days in a Suite and had absolutely no issues. This is what enticed us to take another cruise with Norwegian. This cruise with Jewel was only for 11 days from March 21 to April 1, 2018. The best part of the cruise is the fact that our Mini-Suite was kept immaculately tidy by our steward. The whole ship always looked tidy. Unfortunately, ...

So many organisational issues, and poor customer services issues, such a shame!

We chose this cruise due to the itinerary. However, NCL, were obviously trying to save costs at every opportunity, by arriving at container ports, instead of main ports, or using tenders and buses. Unfortunately, they were completely dis-organised in these tender operations which resulted in guests having to get up at 6 am in the Morning to get a ticket to get on a tender. Even when you had a ...

7 Day Alaskan Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

This was our first cruise with Norwegian Cruise lines, and it was also the last. We have done several cruises with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. This cruise line does not measure up for us. We paid $4,000 to upgrade from an inside cabin to an outside cabin on the back of the boat. The cabin was small and bathroom except for the shower was very tight. I'm a little over 6' tall and it was ...

Avoid Suite 11518

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

We paid a quite a lot of pretty pennies for Suite 11518 and were quite impressed upon first impressions. Of course, all we did was take a quick look around, high- five one another, and head out to the 12th deck to meet our friends and tell them how beautiful and LARGE our suite was. We didn't notice how haunted we would be until the following afternoon, when we came in from our excursion in ...

NCL did not represent itself well.

I chose the cruise because it was available at the time I wanted to take vacation and I had wanted to go to Alaska for a while. The Alaska portion of the trip was fantastic and I highly recommend it, I had beautiful clear skies and temperate weather with very little rain. The NCL staff outside of "Guest Services" was good overall and if not for the terrible service from their Guest Services staff, ...

We have sailed NCL before (not the Jewell) and they were decent trips, but this old piece of scrap metal built in aug 2005 is in very poor condition, all the floors need to be change, the stateroom carpets are fitly, 10th floor in around cabin 10078 had serious sewage issues so every day we had that lovely aroma to walk by. Others also have water back up, and NCL does not believe in ...

Disappointed

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

We chose this cruise because we liked the itinerary and wanted to try NCL, having cruised with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity and loved it, we thought we should try a different cruise line to compare. Overall we felt that this cruise was disappointing in most aspects, From friendliness of staff to organised activites, we felt that they fell short in comparison to other cruises and ships we were on. ...

NCL BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Having sailed on 13 cruises on Carnival, Princess,Royal Caribbean,Celebrity and now our third on NCL; I can't tell you how disappointing this last cruise was. For the first time we splurged and went way over budget to garner an aft Penthouse Suite on the Jewel and boy is it WWWWWAAAAYYYY overpriced. We previously sailed in mini suites on the Breakaway and the Pearl. The Breakaway was really ...

Worst Cruise on NCL Thus Far

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

We were in Cabin 11531 Class MB Mini Suite right below the pool area. Worst location ever, constant running children and noise that we could barely tolerate. NCL even had the gall to tell we were upgraded to a mid-ship cabin; I would have rather stayed where were. I'm not getting seasick, and I actually enjoy the rocking of the boat. Food in the Garden Cafe has gotten almost inedible, and even ...
