Our primary purpose during this cruise was to travel through the Panama Canal and celebrate my sister and brother-in-law's 40th wedding anniversary. The food was outstanding with beautiful presentation and staff that were have to supply our every need. The Jade only carries about 2500 passengers so there were no long lines for meals, shows, etc. With a longer cruise an added bonus is an older crowd ...
Checking in and disembarking went very smoothly.
The specialty dining was excellent. The main dining rooms had the same menu so other than having to dress up more at the Grand Pacific there was no difference. The crew and staff on board were excellent. They were helpful and friendly and addressed us by name if they saw us several times. I lost my wallet at Colon Panama and they did all they ...
We chose this cruise because it fit in to our schedule, they offered free drink package, reduced airfare and 5 free dining upgrades.
We were flown from Boston to Miami on a premium airline nonstop. We got their free shuttle from the airport to the ship terminal building. Once there, check in was immediate. We were on the ship at 12:06pm... 6 minutes after boarding had begun!
Once on ...
We chose this cruise because we wanted to go thru the Panama Canal again. We did it a couple of years ago and it was not a very enjoyable experience. This time was much better.
Our cabin was ok, however I really did need a handicapped cabin, which the ship could not accommodate me with.
Most of the food was ok, however having a dietary issue, at times the dining staff could not find a ...
Myself and my family had an amazing time on the Jade. All the speciality restaurants we ate at were delicious and the staff on the entire ship were outstanding! Poolside (C Notes) and evening (Mary Simon) entertainment was spot on!
The ports were amazing. This is a winning itinerary!
My only criticism is that the buffet never changed. Always the same offerings at lunch and the dinner ...
We chose this cruise as a holiday cruise just for my husband and I. The ship was smaller than the ships we have recently sailed on, but this ship was pristine and decorated very festively for the Christmas, New Year holiday. Embarkation was very easy. We had a transfer through Norwegian for transfer from the airport to the ship and from the ship to the airport. We did not have to wait long at ...
I enjoyed the cruise very much. The ship was in good shape, the crew was as friendly as always, and the service was excellent. The dining was very good as well. I only dined in two of the specialty restaurants, Le Bistro and La Cucina, and they were both excellent. I had been to most of the ports prior to this cruise, but the new ones were interesting. I did take in a few shows, three ...
Loved the smaller ship. Perhaps because it was right after a holiday, there were very few children. Of course, the bigger ships have more for kids to do. The crew were wonderful. We love the Norwegian freestyle where we can dine where and when we like. It’s so laid back. We liked the way the buffet is divided into stations with many ethnic foods. It was much easier to get around, and we loved the ...
This was a great 11-day Cruise. The Ship was great, the Staff was great and the Cruise Director Vincent was outstanding!!!! The food was pretty good. I have to say the Buffet was just ok -- seems as though the same food was there every single day of the cruise with some variety - which wasn't too impressive but still no complaints - I don't complain too much about cruise ship food at all - it ...
I liked the itinerary for the Panama Canal. The cabin was spacious and clean. The cabin steward Max Fernandes was excellent. My cabin number was 8122 near the elevator and O'Sheedhan Restaurant which was excellent. The entertainment was good. The shore excursions were good. The staff was excellent. The ports of calls were excellent. The ship was very clean. I loved Costa Maya and ...
