AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

Not one of our best NCL cruises

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We chose to book this cruise because of the Canada part and especially the two days and overnight in quebec a city we have always wanted to visit. A few weeks after we had made our final payment we were told due to Canada law we would not stay overnight and would only spend one day in Quebec a big disappointment for us we w ere not offered any chance to cancel the cruise at this stage. We thouht ...

We chose this cruise because of family. The ship was beautiful. The cabin would have been great if not for the old bar of soap and scum on the soap holder and huge smears on the cabin door. Sheets were not changed for the ten days of the cruise. Dining was good. The restaurants were very nice. There was plenty to do. I used a scooter and at restaurants they were great. Getting on and off the ship ...

We chose this cruise because we like NCL, we wanted to travel this specific week, and did not want to go to the Caribbean due storms. Also, this one left from NYC, which was an easy drive for us. As it turned out, parking was $40 a day, so we could have flown to Miami for about the same price, had we left from there. The service on this ship is exceptional. The staff simply cannot do enough to ...

We selected this cruise for its destinations....all Canadian ports. First major disappointment was the cancellation of the overnight stay in Quebec. We were given late notice of change and not allowed to cancel our journey without losing our money. Disembarking on two of the four ports used only one exit without proper planning for lining up. It was annoying to be waiting on line and having ...

WE choose this cruise because of the itinerary and the embarkation and disembarkation port N.Y.C. Cabin was very small and it was difficult for two people to pass each other in the space given. One of the main issues we had was the very inadequate safety drill. It was poorly planned and demonstrated. We wondered what a disaster it would be if evacuation of the ship was necessary!!! This is one ...

This was our second time on any NCL ship. The first was in Hawaii, and let's face it, it could have been a dump and you would still be happy to be there! After many more experiences on other cruise lines, mainly DCL, we decided to try NCL again for their Canadian cruise. We chose a balcony cabin which was nice. It's hard not to sail without one now. All of the specialty restaurants were ...

Thought it was a cool way to do things - the Viking route, tour Manhattan then return to Southampton on a different ship. Very casual and friendly staff who chat to you and make the most of the meagre entertainment. Alizar restaurant, which is not a speciality restaurant, was up there with the best of them. Delicious food in lovely surroundings. Disembarkation of the Jade was woeful - not ...

1st ran out of hot water two night. Was told would come check however, no one ever came. Two day later I received a call wanted to know is everything was ok. Ran out of hot water again, didn’t bother calling. 2nd my wife order prime rib, well done Main Dining Room. It came rare, still running blood, the waitress, not the one that took our order, told me that was how the prime rib well done ...

We love Norwegian. They treat us like family. We hadn't been on the Jade yet, and I was intrigued with the itinerary. This was our first overseas trip. Everything went smoothly. Boarding the ship was very quick and smooth. What we like about Norwegian is the free-style dining. We only ate in the Main Dining Room one time. The rest of the time was in the Buffet, plus a couple of times in ...

This was a trip of lifetime cruise for me. I saw places I always wanted to go to but never had a chance to get to before. We left from South Hampton and did the Transatlantic to New York. We stayed in London for a few days and then New York for a few days. The staff were so helpful and friendly always going out of their way to make your day as enjoyable as possible. The food and the ...
