AJ’s Sloth and Monkey sanctuary. We booked this on our own in advance. Shore excursions to these places were longer and more costly. We got transportation and the animal experience for $35 pp. Lots of fun and guide was great.

NCL Jade 10 Day Eastern Canada & Quebec Roundtrip from NYC

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Jade

Wife and I chose this cruise because it was the first time in many years that NCL was stopping in Prince Edward Island departing from NYC. Overall we loved the cruise, with a few minor glitches. The first glitch was embarkation. There were 3 ships in the Manhattan terminal. There was not enough staff to handle to influx of passengers, plus the late start of check in (after 10 AM) caused long ...

Choose this cruise because of itinerary, cost, and extras and because we had cruised with Norwegian on our first cruise 12 years ago and liked it. Since then, we've cruised with Carnival, Princess, and Holland American and in comparison, Norwegian didn't stack up well. Main issues: Excursions leaving the ship: At two stops, they only had one gangplank in use. At Prince Edward Island, the ...

My Norwegian Cruise Line Vacation Or How I Spent My Vacation Waiting in Line

Waiting in line – let me count the ways 1. 2+ Hour embarkation Process – great way to start the cruise 2. We never tendered on this cruise so getting off and on the ship should have been streamlined – but it wasn’t. I should emphasize this cruise had a large population of seniors meaning many wheel chairs and walkers – that translates to slow movement. Typically there was only a single ...

Beautiful boat, comfortable public areas, easy to get around, wonderful balcony cabin, great food in a variety of dining areas, fantastic shows with very talented performers, , interesting itinerary, plenty of scheduled and unscheduled activities, spectacular service from staff (cabin attendants, wait staff, cruise director staff, kitchen staff, even security. Extremely well-trained and attentive ...

My spouse and I sailed on the Jade from Oct. 6-16 from NYC to the Maritimes and back. We previously sailed on 3 different Princess cruises. Could not find one with them that was going exactly where we wanted to go, so decided to take a chance on Norwegian as it did. Sorry to say that I doubt we will ever sail on Norwegian again. No one explained to us that people would be booking their specialty ...

Newly renovated ship needs to rethink their value!

Chose this cruise with two other couples. The purpose was to relax for 10 days. Issues started getting into line. 1. Why have designated times to get on the ship when it takes more than an hour to get on the ship after the designated time? 2. Customer service prior to the trip gave different answers for the same questions. 3. Tours were booked before the cruise, so we didn't get the ...

My husband and I sailed on the refurbished NCL Jade fall foliage cruise from New York to Canada from October 6-16. Ports were Sydney, Charlottetown, Quebec and Halifax. Nothing much to do in Sydney or Charlottetown due to it being a national holiday. --The refurshment of the ship made it look almost brand new. --All staff were extremely polite and helpful. --Our cabin steward (Juniata ...

Let me start by saying, our weather was wonderful the seas were like glass. The food was good. Our room was lovely and very clean. And because of that I have given this a 2 rating. However please continue to read so that this does not happen to anyone else again. We had booked the aft penthouse suite 8132. We paid full price and did not get any discount for upgrades. This is our 6th time ...

We chose this cruise for the itinerary, which NCL changed at the last minute. We were supposed to be in Quebec 2 days, and they took one of the days there away, without replacing it with another port, or giving any kind of compensation, such as onboard credit. That left us with too many days at sea, and the sea days were very boring. The cruise director was the worst we have ever had. The ...

Disappointing First Cruise Experience

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Norwegian Jade

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

My friend wanted to view fall foliage and visit Quebec. Either it wasn't the right time, or it was too warm or something. Did not see ANY colorful fall foliage. The cruise was not labeled as a senior cruise, but we were astounded by how many very elderly, often disabled people were on our cruise. We wondered if we mistakenly took the wrong cruise. One man, in a wheel chair, was being fed ...
