The ship was only at 60% capacity, which made it very comfortable for all onboard. Plenty of space for everyone. Food was great. Would recommend the wine tastings for the at sea days. The shows were very interesting. The excursions that we opted for were all great. The Tastes of Maui was awesome, there were about 7 stops. Food was provided at them all. Not large servings but enough so that you ...
I sailed on Pride of America on their September 16-23 of 2023 sailing and loved getting to see 4 islands and not having to unpack. This was my 10th cruise and first on Norwegian Cruise line. Will definitely sail with them again.
We were informed beforehand that they no longer sail around the Napali coastline due to fuel cost and we did a small airplane ride by air adventures in Kauai instead ...
Good itinerary but unfortunate the ship is very dated, well past its best, a lot of wasted space, ie a huge library, card room , art gallery/ shop all barely used.
Food is average at best and often poor.
Speciality restaurants are no better.
Entertainment, is sparse and is worse than amateurish, at times very embarrassing.
Singers with backing tracks rather than live musicians. ...
We were bit concerned about the ship after seeing negative reviews but we had no issues. Ship is small but has plenty of bars and more places to eat then you can actually do in a week!
No sewage smells like others have reported.
All crew we met were great, always had a smile on their faces and we're great fun.
Cabins are on the small side but there is plenty of storage and it's such a ...
We originally chose this cruise in 2019, booked, paid and all, and then the pandemic came and all was cancelled. We took the offered future credit incentive. Back then no-one knew what would happen. Being from New Zealand we also faced government obstruction and closed airline travel, but now finally we were able to re-book this cruise. Despite initial reluctance from NCL to finally honour the ...
We chose this Cruise to get to see more of the Hawaiian Islands and that happened ok.
Having read the good and bad reviews of the Pride of America I can confirm both. Just depends upon what you want. It wasn’t a relaxing cruise with plenty of on board activities. It was a trip around the islands doing plenty of activities. NCL activities are expensive and we heard from others that they could be ...
We experienced most of what the other low rated reviewers experienced. Mostly the balcony room was so small that I had to fold a 35 pound wheel chair and carry it over the bed to the only area where there was room. Every time we wanted to open the safe or go on the balcony the wheel chair had to be moved.
Another viewer said it best, a very expensive ferry ride. Entertainment was mostly non ...
We selected this cruise because Son-in-law has never been to Hawaii. We thought it would be good to see multiple islands. We've cruised 4-times with NCL, but NCL refused to accept our old room card as proof. We had read many cruisecritic reviews and set our bar very low. We were relieved the Maui stop was cancelled and we able to spend more time in the other islands. The ship is a beautiful ...
Months ago my husband and I, our daughter, and her husband looked forward to a 12-day combination land/cruise Hawaiian vacation. Sadly, due to the summer wildfires, the Maui part of our 7-day Norwegian Cruise Line itinerary had to be omitted.
After several wonderful days at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel in Oahu, we hesitantly boarded the NCL ship Pride of America for a cruise that included ...
This was the most boring cruise I have been on. The ship itself had little activities. It didn't even have an activities director. There was little going on during the day. Whatever they stated in activities on the website was so lame. The putting green is about a 10'x 10' section. The arcade, the kids had to pay for. There was nothing for kids. I huge unused library. This is for old folks ...
