My wife has Al's a dying. Choose this cruise because we have never seen Hawaii and Alaska. We are not rookies with NCL, we are diamond member with over 500 sea days with them.
It's sad to see all the cuts they made.
Your room. They now come once a day, not turning the cabin at night.

Never, Never, Never use Norwegian unless you want poor service and sub-standard food.
PS. We have cruised: NCL, Royal, Holland, Celebrity, MSC, Viking, and Princess in the past 20 years.
Checkin is horrible; 1.5 hrs on two lines. First was security, and then checkin, where we had to do the exact same things we did online. Food = substandard, with Buffet food looking good but tasting weird. ...

my cousin and myself chose to do a Hawaiian cruise and NCL are the only cruise line to do Honolulu to Honolulu. we have both cruised on Princess, Holland America and myself on Carnival cruises. so are well versed in cruising. embarkation was smooth and was on ship by 11am. were not allowed to access our cabin until 3.30pm and luggage not delivered til 6.30pm. long day!! the ship appeared tired ...

This experience was the worse and was the opposite of a vacation. It started with how NCL booked our flights at 5AM from the west coast and split us from our adult kids. One of them is disabled and we asked NCL if we could switch one parent onto the flight and move our other child. That was a no. Thankfully the airline was fantastic and provided an escort service.

The ship docks at mainly industrial ports, where there is not much around. If you haven’t signed up for one of Norwegian’s excursions or arranged some other forms of transportation you are in for a hike.

If it weren't for Hawaii, cruise would have seriously bombed. Hawaii fixes a lot. We are frequent cruisers and this was a let down, even though we paid more than any other cruise we have taken. Ship used half staff and claimed half passengers. So half the ship is always closed. Most specialty restaurants closed. Staff can't keep up with basic services and are grumpy.
