NCL Prima - 11 day Caribbean cruise

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

My traveling companions and I stayed in 2 room balcony suites at the front of the ship. The cabins were spacious and well equipped. We had excellent service from our steward and butler. My only disappointment with the ship was that it was not always easy to find areas to relax. When we were looking for areas to lounge with a drink, we often had to wander around the ship to find open spaces. ...

Amazing Ship But Avoid the "Gym"

This was my second cruise ever so I can't complain about the layout of the ship like everyone else. It was a little confusing to figure out where anything was but that added to the adventure I suppose. The ship was amazing, we were in Haven and it was certainly nice having a private bar, deck and pool. Staff was great, everyone was very professional and friendly. The events were entertaining. ...

Overall, I really enjoyed my second cruise with NCL. The main positives were: - Excellent staff in Los Lobos - Syd Normans Pour House - the Rumours show was excellent! - Staff in the Hudson's main dining room were fabulous, never felt rushed and food was excellent - Studio room was very well designed and solo lounge was great - Great ports of call, with excellent excursions ...

Prima, first experience.

First time on Prima. Pretty ship, light and airy. Cabins very nice. Continue to maintain that people make the ship and NCL people are the best. Some of concepts smaller which makes it harder to gain reservation. Los Lobos great. Plenty of exciting things to do on sea days and truly getting on and off ship in all ports extremely easy. This trip there were no tenders so that was even better. ...

DON"T LET THE BAD REVIEWS SCARE YOU!

We had a fantastic cruise on the Prima. It all comes down to traveling with reasonable expectations. The ship is large and it hosts a lot of people. So, on sea days most places are busier than usual. However, we never had issues finding quiet corners. We also never had any issues getting food. There are many complementary food options. My personal favorite place for all meals was The Local. The ...

Pros and cons

We have mixed feelings about the NCL Prima and the new ship design. Pro about the design is the broken up design gives the allusion of less people on the ship. Con is that the ship is really chopped up and crowded in some areas and hard to get through from one end to the other. We were on the Encore in September and really loved their observation deck area. The observation deck on the Prima is ...

This was my 4th cruise on Norwegian and 3rd time staying in the Haven. Overall, the cruise was quite good. But... it started off poorly. Embarkation was the worst. Usually, the Haven embarkation is a joy. You're walked onto the ship - either to your room or the lounge and you get an excellent start to the cruise. In this case we were delayed when we tried to embark as my wife's key card was ...

Haven Experience - WAY DIFFERENT (and not for the better)

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

This is my 28th cruise with NCL, the majority of which are reviewed on here. I am Diamond Level. This was probably my 8th or 9th sail in the Haven. We chose this sail for the ship, vs the ports, and we got a deal that was too good to pass up. So the ship, as many have reported, is simply gorgeous. However, its lipstick on a pig. There is no flow to the ship, its confusing, and all of ...

The Prima is not laid out in an easy or obvious way, and staff aren’t able to help you find your way. That being said, once you learn to navigate the ship, it’s really very nice. The food is phenomenal and plentiful…seating readily available…drinks are good and service is pretty quick. I’d definitely recommend trying to get the Vibe pass if this is a warm weather cruise. Thx Vibe is right ...
