Worst cruise we’ve been on by far for the following reasons:
- Booked a “club mini-suite” which was smaller than a standard room for some reason and had a metal wall on the balcony so we couldn’t see the water when seated. A vastly inferior room compared to a standard room at a cost of $1,000 more. Their justification was you get extra amenities like a bottle of cheap champagne (worthless with ...
I had never been on a cruise before so I figured let's go with Norwegian. I've been on four prior cruises (Carnival in April/1998, Disney in August/1998, Disney in May/2022, Royal Caribbean in May/2023). These four were definitely very good. Norwegian? Absolutely not. Let's cover the pros before I go into the extensive cons
PROS
-Beautiful, elegant ship.
-Delicious food, albeit there were ...
I’ve been loyal to NCL for the past 9 years and have sailed most of the ships starting with the Epic and newer. I think NCL should fire the team who came up with this class of ship. What a waste. I’m in the middle of a sailing now. The shops are all closed for remodeling? Donna Summer cancelled for unknown reason. The only Premium entertainment show is The Price is Right? lol what? Food is ...
I was very disappointed with this Cruise Ship experience. I have previously traveled in the Epic and it was the experience of a lifetime. Because of that experience I invited other 3 couples to cruise on the Prima with me and my husband. Customer service was poor the majority of the time. Bars were understaffed so it took forever to get a drink. Drinks were mediocre so they didn’t have experienced ...
Common areas are too small, too few bars/bartenders, and bars had limited hours. Very little live entertainment, and it was done in small spaces (The Penrose Atrium) which was very limiting: not adequate seating, no dance floor, all while other people were trying to walk through the hallways. The "Specialty Venues" (Improv at Sea, Syd Norman’s Pour House) were advertised heavily, but so small ...
Hello, so the purpose of this review is to help others save the time and effort when deciding if this is the ship for them.
We have been on Carnivals and RCL. Been on every ship of RCL and wanted to see what NCL has to offer. We'll let me begin with the embarkment. Check in was quick to a small degree, but after you check in you have to sit on one of their bench's and wait 30min and then they ...
Always wanted to try NCL as I thought it offered more for the dollar, plus it was different as we have been on every RCL. Well not only were we so overwhelmed on trying to check in( which was horrible compared to RCL ), what a royal pain in the butt it is to go anywhere on this ship. Everything is sectioned in pieces unlike the RCL is nicely laid out. I feel who ever designed this ship designed ...
We chose this ship since it was new, it was our first experience with NCL, but not to cruising. What a disappointment! First, majority of staff was rude and seemed in a bad mood. Service was terrible, we waited so long for ordering while waiters just walked around aimlessly until we asked them to take our order. The “good” places would be slammed with one bartender during peak hours. Food hall ...
Very poor design!! Not much seating anywhere on the ship, especially in what you would call your hot areas, pool, buffet, lounges, anywhere entertainment would happen. There was an area called the Haven, it was a nice area with a pool and hot tub, nice seating and bar. This area was only for people who wanted to pay an extra charge to enter there (Not cheap). We have been on several cruise ...
After this cruise I can confidently say that norwegian’s customer service has completely gone downhill. On this cruise, we decided to upgrade to the Haven and had nothing but bad things about any of the staff including our Butler and let alone the paid concierge services . Not to mention the Haven concierge canceled two of our reservations for dinner, and didn’t call until an hour before leaving ...
