I just returned from a 7 day voyage on the Norwegian Prima. We did the Western Caribbean itinerary out of Galveston making stops at Costa Maya, Cozumel, Harvest Caye (Belize), and Roatan Bay (Honduras).
My overall review/rating for the ship, crew, cabin and entertainment are all A+. NCL has definitely stepped up their game with the Prima class and my wife and I could not have been more ...
My top priorities in a cruise:
1) Good food/fast service
2) Nice non smoking casino
3) Nice spa
4) Great outdoor sitting areas to not be around a lot of people
5) Nice cabin and a ship with modern features that look like a spaceship
And that's why we LOVED the Prima. It knocks off all of those things in perfect fashion. But some people gave the Prima really bad reviews, and I ...
I don't understand why this ship gets such bad reviews. It's definitely different than other NCL ships, but that isn't a bad thing. The amount of outdoor space is wonderful, and I do think that helps to spread people out as long as the weather is nice. We had some rain, which did force people inside, but it was really only bad on embarkation day before the rooms were ready. Our cabin was gorgeous, ...
So I booked this cruise prior to reading all the comments on here about the ship and how terrible it was. Thank goodness I went and tried it out for myself. Are there some negatives, yes, but overall it is a great ship with a lot of outdoor spaces where you can get away from the 3000+ passengers and feel like you are on a boat to yourself.
The Negative:
Sid Normans and the Improv are small ...
Ignore the Negative...(with a few exceptions)
I know most people do not trouble themselves to go online and leave reviews unless they want to gripe about something. It's just the way it all works. Google. Yelp. All just places to complain.
I see reviews on here complaining about the most mundane things that I may go blind if I rolled my eyes any harder.
That being said, I wanted to ...
After reading other reviews I was very nervous and now that we have returned I am happy to report the ship is wonderful. Rooms are spacious. Embarking and disembarking were both super easy. Food was the best I have had on a cruise. Service was amazing. The main dining room had 5 or more different daily features and appetizers changed daily. Food republic was amazing. Great sushi and Korean ...
Obviously I was worried after reading so many negative reviews. I am happy to say we were pleased with the Prima.
The ship is absolutely beautiful and modern. The staff was always professional, friendly, and attentive. The food was good everywhere we went. We ate at two specialty restaurants, Le Bistro and Palomar. Both were excellent.
Our ocean cabin was spacious. Probably the largest cabin ...
We returned from our 7 day cruise on Prima from Galveston yesterday. It was overall one of the best cruises we've taken on many different cuise lines and this was our 22nd cruise. Embarkation was a breeze, only waited about 20 minutes to board at 10:00. We went first thing to the theater where they had people making your dinner and entertainment reservations. I had no problem booking our group ...
We had an aft facing suite in the Haven and were blown away by the almost 500 sq ft balcony with hot tub! The service from our steward Marti was top notch. Our butler Virgilio was great as well and he made sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was I felt the closet space was a little lacking and our motorized shade in the shower conked out the day before we disembarked. The ...
First time cruiser! Loved the Free at Sea and Freestyle dining. Food was great, plenty of dining options, seating was always available. Experienced staff was attentive and fun, entertainment was top notch. Hasuki was so much fun! Very talented staff and super fun! Fleetwood Mac - Rumors was awesome. Price is Right was a blast. Donna Summer was good. Would love to see a little longer Karaoke ...
